I really liked this series. The characters are fun, magic system and whole plot is really interesting. It’s a good mix of fantasy, and game elements that doesn’t go too far into the game elements in my opinion,
This concludes the trilogy well, but honestly I think there was more story here. It could have been deeper in its resolution and taken another book to feel more fulfilling as an end to the story.
Our MC gets caught up in the internal politics of the kingdom, but for the most part its kept down to a minimum amount of pages in the book. The town that he and his wife have been forced to make their home has grown and is under siege by minotaur's, dwarves, and the king that keeps pulling him back into the politics of the kingdom. In the end the author brings this story arc to a satisfactory conclusion without leaving a major hook, for a story that he might return to someday.

I have really enjoyed this series and it’s easy to read style. The world is built enough for you to care but not be overloaded with info. The characters do fall into molds but that’s not a bad thing in this case. It’s a really enjoyable read and a great addition to the series.
I enjoyed this story very much. I know that this is the final book in the series (for now, at least) but hope that there is a follow up coming out. I highly recommend this series.
