Laura, the Bichon Frise, My New Home, is an endearing story about how Laura is rescued and becomes a member of a new family. She overcomes fears of being in a new family, and learns to develop trust from her new owners. This is a wonderfully illustrated book that every child should read. It helps children realize that animals feel, think, and give love. Laura takes you on her journey into her new family as she realizes that she is loved. This is one of six books about Laura, her journeys, and lessons learned. Teresa R. Allen lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Teresa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lyons College and a Master of Social Work from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Teresa has enjoyed writing stories and poems since she was 14 years old.Teresa’s first poem was published at the age of 17 in the Mammoth Spring Park Guide, entitled “Mammoth Spring.” She has had several poems published in the Thayer, Missouri, newspaper and in the Lyons College yearbook.
