It was surprising to me how much emotion came up while reading this book. It chronicles a day in the slowed down COVID life we all faced. The author/artist uses daily drawings of mundane or normally overlooked things; Empty beach chairs, hardware signs, discarded fast food cups to tell her story. What struck me most was the perseverance of the author. She kept on creating her art and moving toward her goals instead of putting things on hold. It was beautifully inspiring.
