Very much focussed on being functional rather than entertaining or engaging.
Some of the historical facts were interesting but written in the style of a 12-year-old rushing to finish their homework.
The layout could be improved by including more duplication at the edges of maps to reduce the need to flick back and forth between pages.
Overall, this has definitely whetted my appetite for a trip to Hadrian's Wall and has helped in my preparation for the journey.
