Slug Love
Slug can't understand why the gardener doesn't want to be friends.He even ate heart shapes out of all her plants for her!
Everything that Slug tries just doesn't work and when an encounter with the gardener results in him ending up on the other side of the house he must find his way home. When he gets back the gardener has brought out the bucket of DOOM to collect all his friends . . . but when the moon lights up Slug's silvery trail, the gardener marvels at the beauty of it. She finally decides that maybe slugs aren't so bad after all!

what a sweet book!
the characters are great - well imagined and diverse. 🕷🐛🐦 the story is true to gardening, including the lovely art work. 🌸🏵 And the story is heart-warming with such a well intentioned protagonist 🐌 and includes some extra bits of sly humour to amuse.
(unfortunately there is no slug emoji!)
