so uplifting!
This is a wonderful book for children of any skin color. For some to understand more of how some children might feel different and to help establish mindfulness and empathy. And for others to uplift and explain how another word for different is unique which is like a Super power. Different or unique is beautiful, better than magic, brings light and love and joy to the world. The story is absolutely marvellous and should be in every classroom and home but let’s not forget the beauty of the illustrations as well!

Beautiful and empowering
This book felt like such a beautiful mother’s calming voice full of love and encouragement. No matter how we look on the outside it’s ours and more so what we are on the inside is what every child needs to know. Beautiful story, illustrations and definitely one for the bookshelf.

This book has such a beautiful and touching message for its readers. I could feel the mother's love for her daughter and the mother's message to her daughter is so loving.

empowering and beautifully written
What a great read. The author did a wonderful job embracing and empowering her little girl. Her skin color is beautifully and wonderfully made and that is something to be proud of. Highly recommend!

The message is loud and clear in his cute and colourful illustrated rhyming take.
It send out a positive message about acceptance and loving yourself , no matter the colour of you skin.
