This is a cute children's board book, which has gorgeous illustrations, and flaps, tabs and pop ups, which all young children will love and have fun with. The story is about a boy called Sam, who searches for a dragon in the forest. My daughter loved going on a little mystery adventure hunt with Sam. Highly recommended!

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book.

I adored reading this book to my daughter who is less than one year old. She kept asking to see the pictures again and again. The illustrations and colours are gorgeous and Sam and his grandmother's hike in the woods could represent a situation with which children can identify easily. I would recommend this to children of any age and more to those learning perception, images. I have encountered children fascinated by dragons and this little book can attract them to spend some time in searching for the dragon again and again.

This is a fun interactive board book. Sam is convinced that a dragon is residing in the forest and he is bound and determined to find it.

The illustrations are vibrant and bright and the book invites the reader to journey along with Sam as he travels to his campsite. Along the way Sam finds clues that convince him that there really is a dragon lurking around and he's very close indeed.

Kids will delight as they lift flaps, pull the sliding tabs and open the pop-ups to discover if indeed a beautiful magical dragon will make an appearance. Who doesn't like to play peekaboo? I know kids of all ages do!

Kids will also love Monster, Mermaid, and Unicorn from the Hide and Peek series. I highly recommend Dragon and the entire series.

Dragon by Lucy Semple is such a delightful fun read.

Sam and his grandma go camping. Sam wants to see a dragon so much he starts hunting down clues that they are there in the woods.

I love that this book is a pop-up book. It adds just enough surprise to the story that helps keep little ones interested until the very end. The illustrations are beautiful and the non-stop go-go-go of Sam is hands down relatable. Fun read for anyone who loves dragons!

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

This is a whimsical, pop-up book about a young man looking for dragons while hiking in the forest with his grandma. I love Sam's excitement can be felt through the expressive illustrations; they're cute, colorful and interactive. I think children will enjoy following the clues to find the hidden dragon on each page. I really enjoyed this short story. Definitely made me smile.

Thank you, NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group, for the advance reading copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I thought that this was an enjoyable book, it was fun and interactive

The story was easy to follow and it was fun to read with my daughter - it was lovely

She has recently learnt to read in Reception at school so it was great that we could read it together

The illustrations are lovely and they really bring the story to life and I loved the idea of lifting the flaps to find the dragons that were hiding on each page!

It is five stars from me for this one – very highly recommended!

A very early, early reader, showing a young lad insistent on finding dragons everywhere on his hike with his gran. The flaps to pull aside, the slidey bits to lift up and big pop-out ending all show he may be closer to them than she thinks. Sometimes these are barely books, but just tools getting young minds and hands used to relating to such objects, but here the story was very nicely done. Hard to fault.

Super cute read from NetGalley. Never too early to start reading kids books to find the perfect gifts for the holiday.

I love the fun dynamic between grandma and grandson as they go on a camping trip. He's trying to convince her there's a dragon to help them start the fire. Footprints, scales, and claws oh my!

And it's a pop up book so even more fun for the kids!

Not counting this one towards my 2022 goal. ;)

I was delightfully surprised by the variety of ways to interact with the book including different shaped flaps, and a page you can pull, and even a full pop-up. As a Speech-language pathologist, these are all great opportunities to work on the child requesting before revealing the picture. I also liked how the story captured child wonderment and imaginative, flexible thinking. The illustration style was appealing as well.

This was such a cute book! The story was so precious and the art was adorable. It's about a little boy on a hike with his grandma and he keeps imagining that he has found clues of a dragon in the woods. He is certain with his whole heart that he will find a dragon. The book also has flaps as well as tabs to pull to reveal the hidden dragon.
