Country Cool, City Chic, Continental Class
She’s a Little Bit Country and a lot of Rock-n-Roll
Fiona Lizette Lowry, an architect and engineer, is caught between the comfort zone of her past and the promises of an exciting future. The two men in her life are as different as night and day. Yet, they both send sensual sparks shooting through her body’s system. Could there be another who encapsulates the best of both men?
He’s Country Cool
Congressman Aidan Prescott McKenna has been in Fiona’s life since they were toddlers in their farming community of Bay County on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. He is country cool and Fiona’s first lover beginning in high school. They are still lovers and best friends, though she is now an established professional and he has aspirations for higher political office.
He’s City Chic
Musical genius and icon Maxwell Bishop Kennard, III, Trey to his friends, is a city-chic New Yorker, the son of Fiona’s father’s good friend. She’s agreed to design and build a home and studio for him on pristine acreage on the Chesapeake Bay shores. In order to learn more about his creative needs, she agrees to accompany him for three to four months on his musical tour of Europe and Asia to places she has only dreamed about.
He’s Continental Class
Doctor Noah Mikasi is a medical doctor and former covert agent, but Fiona Lizette Lowry is not his patient or his charge to protect. Yet, something about her piques his interest. When they are tasked to work together on a multibillion-dollar project for an NGO, The BlackHawk Foundation, Noah has to employ all of his worldly wiles to keep his distance from the intriguing woman. If he fails it could put Fiona’s life in danger.

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the narrator and found it very enjoyable. These books are based on family and friends, and just like life, all emotions are shown. Fiona has a chance to travel for the first time in her life. Even though her business is very successful she decides to go for an adventure of a life time. A few months away will change her life forever. Interesting characters and suspenseful, fast moving plot will keep you listen until the end. This is a very enjoyable series that just keeps getting better.

It's a pleasure to be working once again with the insightful Ann Jeffries. And 'Fiona Lizette Lowry' is the reason why! With COUNTRY COOL, CITY CHIC, CONTINENTAL CLASS Jeffries just keeps getting better and better. Fiona Lizette is a girl with her eye on the prize - and not the monetary one. She is a woman of the Earth, an innovative and inspired architect and engineer. A member of her family's construction and design consortium, Fiona creates everything from residences, schools and hospitals to a ground-breaking treehouse for one of the donors of her boyfriend/lover/BFF's campaign for Governor of the State of Maryland. Her heart and soul are in the earth and environment. But Fiona realizes she has so much more to experience. After all, she has never left Bay County, MD.
Fiona's latest design triumph is for music producer, icon and phenom, Trey Kennard. Dazzled by her abilities, Trey offers Fiona an opportunity to travel to all the places she has only studied in books. As a member of Kennard's entourage on this globetrotting journey, Fiona quickly takes up residence in his heart. He will not be the last to be captivated by her.
COUNTRY COOL, CITY CHIC, CONTINENTAL CLASS is a whirlwind escapade that only begins with this romance. Soon two more dreamboats are added to Fiona's ever expanding dance card. And romance is certainly not first on her bucket list.
Fiona is such a compelling character. It was a delight to give her voice, both in her unquenchable thirst for knowledge and intuitive nature, but also in her inexperience and naivete. The men in her life are tangible, in Jeffries creations. And oh my, are they heart throbs. Entertainment idols, savvy politicians, enigmatic physicians - whew! My blood pressure rises just thinking about all of Fiona's encounters in this scintillating novel.
Jeffries out does herself in COUNTRY COOL, CITY CHIC, CONTINENTAL CLASS with the length and breadth to which the characters take on the world, nightlife, excursions, philanthropy, intimacy, and of course intrigue, betrayal, hints of espionage and familial connection. We travel outside the classic Alexander-Montgomery tribe that we know and love through Jeffries work with the 'Family Reunion' series. We meet a brand new clan drenched in love and connectedness, who interact in a whole new and refreshing way.
As always, Ann Jeffries gives us in her work something to hope for, something to relate to and aspire to be. No sermons, no dogma. Simple, plain, down home truths that encourage us to embrace differences as well as commonalities, for most surely - and especially in an Ann Jeffries novel, that is the spice of life!

Country Cool, City Chic, Continental Class (Family Reunion-Wisdom of the Ancestors #23) was a great read by Ann Jeffries. Fiona Lizette Lowry is an architect and engineer. She is caught between the comfort of her past and promises of an exciting future. The two men in her life are complete opposites but send sparks through her body. Congressman Aidan Prescott McKenna has been in Fiona's lode since they were toddlers. He was Fiona's first lover in high school. They are still lovers and best friends. Maxwell Bishop Kennard III, is a musical genius and icon. He is the son of Fiona's father's good friend. She has agreed to design and build a home and studio for him. She agrees to accompany him for three or four months on his European and Asian musical tour, to learn more about his creative needs. Noah Mikes is a medical doctor and former covert agent. There is something about Fiona that piques his interest. They are tasked to work on a multibillion dollar project for an NGO. I loved the life that Kelley Hazen brought to the characters and can't wait to read more by the author.

The story follows Fiona, a successful businesswoman who embarks on a life-changing adventure. Her journey is filled with heartwarming moments, unexpected twists, and a beautiful exploration of love and friendship.
Once again, I was completely engrossed in the rich, vibrant world that Ann Jeffries has masterfully crafted. The writing is both elegant and accessible, making it easy to get lost in the story. The vivid descriptions and well-developed characters create a truly immersive experience. Kelley Hazen’s narration is the perfect complement, adding depth and emotion to every scene.
This audiobook is a must-listen for anyone who loves a good romance with a touch of adventure. It’s a testament to the power of storytelling and the magic that happens when a talented author and a skilled narrator come together.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.
