Ting Tang Tales

by D.R. Singh

In this collection of modern fables, set in the rich cultural environment of the Caribbean, D. R. Singh uses humor and imagination to present her readers with little life lessons aimed at making them think about themselves and their effects on others more critically. The author's keen eye is always on the lookout for hypocrisy and blarney and she has great fun exposing it in her stories. Her readers will laugh out loud even when they realize that they are really laughing at themselves. Ms Singh comes from a long line of storytellers who trace their heritage back to India. Born in Trinidad, five villages away from the birth place of V. S. Naipaul, she carries on the tradition of Indo-Trinidadian storytelling with wit and intelligence.
