I was introduced to Matt Furey when his email marketing style and strategies were mentioned in a book I read about online marketing. Originally known for his skills in wrestling and in martial arts, he became known for his email marketing strategy that consists of frequently writing short, 400 words email newsletter stories that aim to resonate emotionally with the reader.

In this book, he talks about his approach to money, and he proposes 101 ways to change your mindset about success and about increasing your income. Some of them are aimed at eliminating self-limiting beliefs, others emphasize the impact of self-affirmations, and a whole bunch of recommendations veer into the "if you visualize it and believe in it, it will happen" territory.

None of his recommendations come with any form of proof or scientific, psychological underpinnings. Most of these 'ways to magnetize money' seem based on his own personal experiences and practices. As is often the case in this genre of self-help books, your mileage may vary...

"How you see yourself is a major part of financial success." (Matt Furey, 101 Ways to Magnetize Money)

The author on this program shares 101 ways to magnetize money. Some of these are:

#1 Start your day with "yes" energy.
#2 Think I can
#3 Believe you will
#4 Continually upgrade your beliefs
#5 Expect financial surprises

There are some interesting concepts on this program. One of them was when you breath, you imagine you are inhaling prosperity and exhaling poverty. I'm been doing this lately when I have been breathing (which I do often! Hope you do too!). This author has also done another program called The Theatre of the Mind and I am interested doing that program too. This program had many visualization exercises and the Frequently Asked Questions CD at the end of the program was excellent, as he took on questions that I would have asked and answers them with grace and great wisdom in my opinion.

While this isn’t a book as you’d expect, it was fun, short and quick to read. It’s more like a reference guide or glossary of important principles, habits, ideas and more - that you should consider implementing so that they can ultimately lead you to attracting not just money - but better optimisation of yourself to get more from life in many aspects.

Although it's not a good or bad book, its simplicity is. My focus is 100% on taking action, which trumps feeling good, thinking positive mindsets.
