Kate's a journalist looking for a story, and finds her editor, Moira, only too happy to provide her with one. What Kate doesn't know is that Moira has facilitated a very different arrangement with Marcus, Kate's would be subject and Moira's former Dom. With Kate's strong willed, stubborn personality she detests the idea of all Marcus is, until he reveals that he wants her to earn her story by being his sub. Despite her inner turmoil, she wants that too.
Marcus is a Dominant, he is not damaged or broken by life or his past and is happy in his own skin, but is in need of a challenge. From the second he sets eyes on Kate, he sees something in her that convinces him she is submissive, not that she realises it. He offers her a story in exchange for a month of her time, discovering first hand what the BDSM lifestyle has to offer.
Will Kate accept the offer of self discovery, and if she does, will the month be long enough for her or Marcus?
Content This story is intended for an audience of 18 + due to depictions of explicit sexual encounters including punishments, pleasure and group sex.

I have always said I could and should write a book and now I have.

When I was sixteen years old my English teacher told me I was going to be the next Harold Robbins with my love for writing slightly risqué tales, but it was almost another thirty years before I truly took the plunge into writing for adults.
Away from writing I work in the public education system and am a wife and mother of two. We share our home in the UK with a very spoilt and pampered cat and dog who truly rule the roost.
I have a passion for romance, reading and writing it. The stories I write ooze chemistry, sensuality, love and sex. However, they do not shy away from uncomfortable subject matter such as death, violence, unhappy marriages and abusive relationships making them suitable for an adult audience.
It is my hope to portray relatable characters who are three dimensional with redeeming qualities, flaws and room for growth that readers learn to love as the story develops.

Disaster-in-Waiting is my first self-published book that has evolved from dozens of previously written stories, many unfinished and the thousands of books I have read. I am incredibly proud of the story it tells and honestly believe I have written a story I would want to read.

Journalist Kate, who believes she is dominant because she likes to be on top during sex ( and in fact can’t orgasm if she’s not) is manipulated into becoming Marcus’ submissive, in the belief that she is doing research for a magazine article. Marcus is a very experienced and rather sadistic Dom, who recognizes that Kate is actually a submissive. The first book follows two or three weeks during which the two of them try to make things work, but the book ends on a cliffhanger when Kate refuses to safeword because she believes that is admitting defeat. Kate makes mistakes; Marcus makes mistakes; they fall in love with each other and don’t know how to handle it. In general, things go wrong, and it left me eager for the next book because I really really wanted to know how they were going to get out of their impasse. The quality of the writing is high, the characters are complex, the story sucked me in. I read it for free on Radish (am I allowed to say that here?) and enjoyed reading all the reader comments at the end of each chapter. It really got a split reaction, some people hating it and some loving it. For the most part the haters don’t like the idea of BDSM and I wondered why they even read it. I was among the other group, the lovers. I saw the flaws in both their characters, but flawed characters make for more interesting reading. Highly recommended.

Marcus 😍😍

This is one of my favourite books by Elle. The only downside for me is the extremely long sentences. They can just be a bit hard to read. Can't wait for the next book.
