Barrett Bellinghausen is a wildly sought after bachelor who runs a dairy farm that makes ice cream. He has 5 stepmothers who all live with him and his married brother. On New Year's Eve he finds a German girl in labor in his barn and calls Dr. Taylor Hunnicutt to deliver the baby. When the mom disappears and Barrett keeps the baby, Taylor thinks the worst. Meanwhile, the two are wildly attracted. She also has a weird mother and is totally grey thanks to a hysterectomy in her teens.

The finally get together through a winding path. Everything gets neatly wrapped up at the end - too neatly and quickly. Obviously a first, maybe second novel not picked up by the bigger publishers.

More on the steamy romance side than I was expecting but still a good book.
