After losing her husband four years ago, Jewel Porter is at a standstill in her life. Doing the same thing day in and day out, she solely focuses on work and the gym. Jewel is adamant about being too old to get back in the dating game until a young, handsome thug approaches her. At first, skepticism plays a significant role with Jewel, considering their age difference. Eventually, the young hitta changes her outlook on life and opens her eyes to love the second time around.
Jermaine Stevens, aka Spyda, once had it all: real love, a family, and a smooth drug operation. When the love of his life walked out on him three years ago, Spyda had one thing on his mind, making that bread. When his boys spot an older beauty in red, they put Spyda in on a bet he never wanted to be a part of. Going with the flow, Spyda takes on the challenge and quickly finds himself falling for the type of woman he considers ‘not his type.’ Through good conversation and patience, Spyda starts to see what he has been missing and considers leaving the dope game for good.
Of course, every good thing worth having comes with a price. The heart is never to be betted on. And there are always consequences to leaving the dope game.
Opposites most definitely attract !!! Spyda and Jewel were opposites and enjoy an age gap romance with a remarkable ending. I was taken in from the beginning but didn't expect the ending. This book is a page turner.
I breezed through this book in a couple hours. In every crew over two there tends to be a snake or hater and Pun was a snake and a hater off top. He was a miserable soul who set a chain of events in motion and for some it worked out, unfortunately for him it didn’t. I love the fact that even things didn’t work out with Spyda and Charmaine, she was a mature woman and mother and they were able to be coparent in a healthy manner. I love the fact that even tho initially Paisley was initially judgmental she was supportive of her mom once she was able to get the full story.Even tho Patrice had a thing for Spyda (and she had jokes lol) she remained a loyal employee and Grjm remained a loyal friend/brother to Spyda as Pam did to Jewel. Jewel found it hard to love after tragedy then along came a savage who swept her off her feet. It almost didn’t last due to a web of deceit but in the end true love prevailed.

Not only was this an age Gap Romance, but Spyda and Jewel were from two different sides of the track. I enjoyed watching their relationship unfold, going from an insta-love to a solid romance. I must admit I did not see that ending coming. I would love to read more about these two and see where their relationship leads. More please!🔥
I loved this book. They were what each other needed. Love doesn’t know age and you cant help who you love. Seeing a mature lead character is refreshing. This book was so well written a great page turner I finished it in one sitting. The book was full of love, drama and excitement. I look forward to reading more from Bijou La Valentina
Age ain’t nothing but a number. In this well written book, you have an age gap couple who comes from different sides of the track who actually falls in love with each other. Not only do they have to deal with their differences, they have to deal with jealousy within their circle. Great read.
