This biography traces David Jason's life from his humble roots in north London, through his days as an electrician, to the David Jason we all know and love. It is based on the actor's own memories, as well as recollections from friends, relatives, and co-stars of both stage and screen.
The subject itself is interesting (I do like all that David has done), but I dislike the way it has been written, hence the delay in actually finishing this book. The chapters seem appropriate, but there tends to be far too much repetition and no real cohesion, with each not being completely chronological. At times I became bored with the writing, but continued, to understand the man underneath the actor. I cannot really recommend this book; next time I will stick to autobiographies!
