Lieutenant Catherine “Kate” Gazzara was Harry Starke’s former partner and must try to solve the case of the girl in the concrete pipe. Kate is assigned to the Major Crime’s Unit with the Chattanooga Police Department . Kate and her partner are assigned the case of a teenage girl whose body had been stuffed in a concrete pipe. While investigating the case Kate finds out the identity of the girl and pursues the case further to find a key piece of evidence to solving the murder. I really enjoyed this phenomenal mystery crime thriller novel. I received this free e-book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

The first in a new series from author Blair Howard sees the popular Detective Kate Gazzara ( from the Harry Starke books) take her first case where she’s in charge. I was not disappointed. This book was emotive, perplexing, and thrilling. The range and depths of feelings experienced were tribute to a great author. The twists and turns, lows and highs of this “whodunnit” were quite frankly a joy. It’s a real rollercoaster. For one; I thoroughly enjoyed the ride. Couldn’t put it down. The rest of the series beckons.

What a ride!

Poor Jasmine! This whodunit had me guessing until the very end. I didn't see it until till the end. It was very well written with good pacing. I really didn't want to put it down. Joe was a cold piece!
