Tong is the emeritus Distinguished Professor of Healthcare Ethics in the Philosophy Department and Director of the Center for Professional Applied Ethics at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. Her career also includes faculty positions at Williams College, Lafayette College, and Davidson College.
