Carissa is a sophomore in college and the middle child of her sisters. They lost their mother a couple months ago to a horrid tragedy. Her grades suffered a setback since she plans on graduating as valedictorian in her class. She has to take a tutor for Latin. It is another student vying for the same position in her class, Ronin. She has been dating the headmaster’s son for over a year now. When she catches him with her best friend, they are done. He keeps trying to contact her but she ignores him. Plus, weird things are occurring in her mother’s school office, she discovers more about the legend of the mountains and sisters, in her home and with her ex and best friend. What was truly going on? She is attacked in her home by her best friend…or is it her? Ronin and she have grown a lot closer as well. They receive a message from a weird source in their home as well. What does it all mean and who sent it? On to the next book.
Iffy character development. Book 1 was pretty strong with good characters. This character is much weaker, unappealing, narcissistic. If I’d know the author was going to switch characters I don’t think I’d have bought the book. Gets better later in the book as she changes but the change is so dramatic, it’s unbelievable. The book doesn’t work well. At 179 pages there are too many loose ends.
Omg! This series is really good. I reading so fast and quickly. I can't wait what is next. I have my suspicious on what's is going already. Cannot wait to find out. So interesting.
