The latest of several NATO Advanced Study Institutes on protein phosphorylation and dephosphorylation during the last decade of the 20th century was held in St. Martin de Londres, France, in September 2000. It focused on the impact of the three-dimensional structures of the participating proteins in several cell biological aspects, such as basic mechanisms in vesicular transport, the transport of proteins into organelles, and neuronal development and plasticity. The 41 papers cover proteinkinases, signalling domains, proteinphosphatases, transport mechanisms, phospholipid signalling, and apoptosis. There is no subject index. Annotation c.
