This will help with understanding what a systematic review is and the role they can play in evidence based medicine. It can also help readers/consumers to understand what makes for a good review to be able to judge good from bad. It however is not very useful in how to conduct such a synthesis. Further, most of the chapters are available in paper form in Annals. Useful, but more as a guide to use rather than guide to doing. Is concise and easy to understand with great specific examples.
