Songs Of The Dead

Rate this book
Songs of the Dead is a collection of nineteen short stories with varying themes, ranging from creepy to the supernatural. In "The Dinner Guests," a man finds himself experiencing an unusual hunger. In "She Had a Good Heart," a young heart transplant survivor meets her donor's family for the first time. What could go wrong? In "Dobie's Last Ride," a man finds himself at odds with a seemingly harmless black Lab, who turns out to be a bit less harmless as he first thought. This book contains graphic violence and is not suitable for readers under the age of 18. "Andy Rausch's tough, hard-hitting prose is married to thought-provoking concepts that make you question your own opinions, your own moral stance, and your own preconceptions of right and wrong." -John A. Russo, author of Night of the Living Dead "The classic horror short story not only lives and breathes. In the imaginative brain of Andy Rausch, it's totally reanimated." - Herschell Gordon Lewis, director of Blood Feast

A great collection of short stories around death.

Suggest not to read "The Man Who Would Not Die" just before bed, it gave me unpleasant dreams!!

Highly recommended!

I read the first 4 stories and they were predictable, not creepy and had nothing new to offer. One was a straight up sex with a Real doll segment, absolutely nothing horror adjacent about it, felt like I stumbled onto someone’s online fantasy journal or something.

Have to say I was underwhelmed by this book of short stories. My benchmark was Clive Barker’s Books of Blood, and this book never came near those.

SONGS OF THE DEAD BY ANDY RAUSCH AND NARRATED BY CHRIS KOPROWSKI is a creepy collection of short stories that have endings you will never see coming, or will you?

Nineteen creepy, weird and unusual stories make up SONGS OF THE DEAD. Each story starts out innocent enough and then.... well,I am not going to give away the good parts so listen to the audiobook yourself to find out! Chris Koprowski, the narrator does a great job reading the short stories as well.

I recieved this audiobook free in exchange for an honest review.
