I purchased for my 8 year old daughter. We had a puberty picnic to discuss the transitions and prepare her for the changes. The illustrations are fantastic & the prompts for discussion are ideal for this age. I do wish there were more drawings of anatomy for M + F since those were the questions she asked when we discussed menstruation. The diagram about the blood color was helpful as I did a demo with a maxi pad and red food dye. Any dialogue surrounding this can be tough but books like this are helpful.
