I live on our farm in Queensland, Australia, and write a variety of books, many of them involve horses. I'm an English teacher with a Master's in Education and I've done freelance writing for Australian horse magazines for decades, and also wrote and reported for Horse Talk TV. I love writing books that take readers on an emotional journey - lots of laughs, love, tragedy, romance, adventure, twists, and turns, but no swearing and no graphic sex scenes.

I have many more books to write, so I hope if you read one, you'll read more, and enjoy the different characters and different stories that all deserve to live outside my mind.

Third in a series of 3 (and apparently a 4th coming out soon!). LOTS of great horse stuff for those of us who are horse crazy...but some REALLY sad stuff in all 3 of them -- horse people the world over are called on to help out and, as always, they come through! All three of these I read pretty much to the exclusion of anything else, so be prepared to binge!

Nice again the drama and wonder of her books has kept me enthralled. Again, I wish I had ever had a Lane Dimity in my life.

Glorious reading! Leanne Owens never fails to deliver.

I have read many of her novels and I plan to read the last two very soon. Her stories sing to my soul, as I grew up in very unhappy circumstances with my secret desire of horses and my dreams of them, all I had to keep my heart from dieing. When I read these stories I find the child I once was and I live again the love I never found in life. It is the closest I have ever been to the love I lived for.

I am 64 now, and spent my life caring for others. I never had the chance to give and receive love from a horse, so to refill my soul with the love I need, I rescue cats and find them good homes. I have tamed feral cats with patience and love and over the years I have never found a cat I could not reach. I like to think I could have loved a horse in the same way.

I hope you continue to show the world that we exist to love and care for all creatures. We are richer for it.

I couldn't put this book down!

I love everything that Leanne Owens has written and eagerly await each new installment of the Dimity Horse Mysteries and Outback Riders series (please, please continue the O. R. Series too!).

In "Hunted" the author introduces Andrea to us in greater detail and gives wisps of information surrounding her and Andrew's childhoods as indigenous peoples. As Andrea races to try to save the horses that are being hunted, the reader roots for her to also race towards love and trust, instead of running away from it.

Leanne is a very good writer who has written not one but two of my all time top 5 series. I read\listen to close to 200 books a year, so her books have beaten out a LOT of good competition :)

Leanne does it again!

Once again Leanne does it again with another can't put down story about the Dimity gang. Just like it's predecessors, Hunted draws you in so don't start reading it in the evening before bedtime. I can't wait for the next book. Also Las always, love the SEU add ons.

BOOK WITH IT ALL!

I could not put Hunted down and couldn’t wait until the end but didn’t want it to end! If I could have I would have jumped into the story and helped save the horses. Thank you for writing this series. Looking forward to the next book.

Hunted is great.

Memorable characters have returned on a new edge of your seat suspense roller coaster ride with plenty of action all rolled up into one book. Horses are held in high regard in this story.

loved these books!

I am not quite sure how I stumbled upon these – I am definitely a fan of horse/equestrian literature but this is actually so much more than that. I think many people would enjoy these books and the characters that the author develops beautifully. In particular, this book was spectacular. I look so forward to seeing more what happens with this very interesting eclectic group of people that I’ve come to actually care about. The stories are like beautiful, woven cloths-seamless. I can’t wait for the next one – I read these first three in less than a week in between working and taking care of all of the normal things that life brings. Thank you so much! Keep it up.

I did not feel that this book is good as the first two. The first two I felt were magnificent stories that exercise the mind without having to go into explicit sexual relationships. And I appreciated the lack of filthy words. The third for me was disappointing in the violence (it could have been downplayed)and the sexual innuendos within it. I read carefully selected books to get away from the filthy language, the animalistic sexual content, violence and evil displayed in many books and the world.

it was sad to me that Andrea was allowed to unleashed the murdering self within her. I was glad when she threw the gun away but when you learn martial arts to kill people, you are really plan to kill people that is not the way of love.

Another great roller coaster ride from Leanne Owens

Hunted by Leanne Owens is Book Three in the Lane Dimnity Series. Once again she has taken readers into the world of horses, good and bad. The main characters are as familiar as cream in coffee. Owens is able to write horses as fully delineated characters. I love reading their thoughts and points of view written in such a way that readers know them.

Hunted follows groups of wealthy American men who think it's a grand idea to travel the world killing valuable and well loved horses for sport. Can there be such evil in this world?

I recommend Hunted and the first two books in this series, Muted and Rescudd.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this series and especially this third book. There is karma and poetic justice for those who hurt animals. I can’t wait till her next book in the series.

A lovely continuation of the Dimity gang and their escapades. I especially love Tug and Daisy who remind me of horses long gone but ever present in my memory. Thank you, Leanne, and I look forward to the next story!

Another twisty tale of horses under attack by humans.

Well written story of the sister Andrea and her mostly off again relationship with Ernie from Venezuela. Worth the price. Excellent story.

A tear jerker that should rate in the 100's!

What a incredibly good story! I grew up in a Southern California desert, wild and wooly from the time we could walk. Four girls, a bunch of cousins, and a pile of barely lead able black ponies and our grandfather's saddle horses, we raced across the desert on the same trails that Gene Autry used in his older movies. This book grabbed me and didn't let go. I hope there's another one soon! Thank you to the author for this series!
