TRESPASSERS WILL BE SHOT takes readers on a journey that includes humor and sadness and sex and death-just like real life.
In twenty-three stories, varying from one to eleven pages, readers will meet a female motorcycle mechanic, a banker cum handyman with a humorous take on life, and a non-stop talker who gets a surprise while searching his family tree. An avid hiker comes face-to-face with the too rapidly passing years, and a want-to-be Casanova unexpectedly encounters his match.
"When I landed headfirst on her ceiling, I realized it would have been wise to open the window before releasing the seat belt. But some of us are constitutionally incapable of taking the straightforward way." MUSTANG SALLY
"The dark skirt stopped at her knees: nice calves and well-turned ankles. Danny liked small ankles. DETOUR TO TUPELO
"A slight change in the air shakes his reverie. He sits up to pay attention to the moving clouds. He sniffs the air and searches the horizon, seeking signs of a storm. The wind is picking up, and the waves are growing larger. Ray knows storms come quickly on big lakes, and he can sense one in the distance. He enjoys being with his friends, but in a storm, he prefers to be alone." FACING THE STORM
"Trespassers Will Be Shot" is my first short story fiction, author Ken Reynolds. I have books of short stories, but have not read them. Enjoyed how one character was included in more than one story. Would like to hear more from him. One story had to read twice, couldn't focus. One with the continuous conversation was interesting but? Variety was important. All in all, I will read other short story books now. It was very enjoyable and I was able to finish the book in two days. I was able to complete stories, stop and do other things. Stories kept me engaged, enabling me to complete the entire book so quickly! Good Read choice.
