Gold Medal Love

Rate this book
Four snowboarders.
Four races.
Four chances at love.
Read all four Winter Games books for one low price.

Remington Jonsson – tall, gorgeous, blue eyed, Icelandic. A top contender at the Winter Games Snowboarding event. Time and the sport have taken a toll on Remington’s body and our relationship. He promised this will be his last race, but can he keep his word? This is Remi’s last chance to prove he can win the gold and my heart.

Knox Keaton – best smelling, pro snowboarder on the circuit. He’s perfect except for one minor detail. He’s my brother’s best friend. Knox is off limits, and even after a passionate night together, he’s back to treating me like a kid sister. I’ve loved Knox since we were kids and I plan to make him finally notice me.

Cyrus Hanson – Pro snowboarder, next-door neighbor, and ultimately my best friend in the world. We have a system together. He dates every girl in town and I pretend I’m not madly in love with him. I can’t keep playing games. We’ve raced down many hills together, but this time I’ll climb one to prove we belong together.

Oliver Hanson – funny, sweet, and the guy everyone wants to meet. Working at the Winter Games hasn’t always been easy, but it’s almost finished. I’m ready to hand in my clipboard and fly home… almost. First, I have to keep Oliver out of trouble and the tabloids. As the games come to a close, is there time for me to become Oliver’s ultimate win?

While each book in the Gold Medal Love - Winter Games series contains an individual happily ever after for the best experience, read them in order.

I loved it! This book had me laughing in a few places.

There are 4 novellas in this book set, each following a couple we've been introduced to in the previous novella at the Olympic Winter Games.

Novella 1- Remi & Marley: 3 stars
In the beginning, I wasn't sure where the story was going. I thought Marley was going to break up with Remi and find a better man.

Novella 2- Reagan (Remi's sister) & Knox: 4 stars
Knox is the snowboarder Reagan's been in love with for years. Little does she know that he's also in love with her...

I was on the edge of my seat when Reagan was creeping down the hall to Knox's room. 😂

I wasn't happy with how on page 112: "Damn, no sex scene?!! there was a little this build-up; I was so excited by that scene and then no follow-through?!!" Source: Audrey's Kindle notes

Novella 3- Charlie & Cyrus: 4 stars

Charlie & Cyrus are both snowboarders & best friends. Like Reagan & Knox, they have been in love with each other for years. They were cute together, and I liked how Charlie was a less stereotypically feminine woman. (Not that there is anything wrong with being feminine, I like to dress very femininely 😂, but I thought it was interesting to read about a heroine who is a little different than the norm. I liked how her muscled body was mentioned, etc.)

Novella 4-McKenna (the PR/manager of the American snowboarders) & Oliver

As chaos ensues from novella 3, McKenna, the PR/manager of the athletes & a main supporting character from the first novella, is assigned to watch over Oliver, the last snowboarder, and make sure he doesn't get into trouble.

Little does she realize that Oliver's been crushing on her since day 1...

The sex was the hottest in this novella, and I enjoyed reading it 😂. Oliver is hot and playful, but also a little wild (in a good way, though) & possessive. McKenna gave me Virgo vibes, and Oliver (maybe?) gave me Mars in Scorpio vibes.

I hate to say this, but the whole book could have used another round with a proofreader. There were misplaced commas and a few spelling mistakes. One memorable one was "click" instead of "clit".

Also, all the heroines (their POV for each novella) talked about junk food too much. At first, it was funny (the athletes eat nothing but protein-fueled gruel), but the author took it a little too far for me.

The weirdest thing about this book was that the country the games were taking place in was never mentioned ONCE. (Unless I missed something.) It would have been nice to know.

Note: I tagged the book "hot and steamy only once" because I think there was only one very memorable sex scene. (In novella 4 lol)

The author has given us a wonderful selection of stories that take place during the Winter Games. Each story pulls us into the lives of the men that are part of the games and the women that can bring them to their knees.

A delightful collection of 4 stories set during the winter games. Each book has its own main characters and story that will take you from start to finish. And show that even toughest men can be shaken when they find the right woman.

This is the fourth book I've read written by Wanda Amard; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

This is the four-book boxset of the Gold Medal Love: Winter Games Series; it is a set of short stories and would be best if read in order.
