Cute book
This adorable book with it’s cute illustrations is all about the fun a kid has with his grandma. My kids love this story and they told me already what they will do together with their grandma when they see her again. It reminded me on days filled with joy and love in my own grandparent’s house. This book is also a wonderful gift for grandparents and a great bedtime story to be read over and over again. Love it very much!

Colorful children's book about everything a grandma will do with her grandchild.
The pictures show what they words are saying. I have done almost all of these with my grandchildren and even though they are now in their teens we sometimes still will go down a slide and blow bubbles.
Such treasures this book brings to my mind. Baking and knitting and crocheting I have been able to teach one of them.
Traveling to new locations and walking, seeing, felling new things are a treat.
Love the letter at the end where the child is prompted to fill in the blanks of a letter to his grandmother thanking her for all the things they did together.
To stay in touch with them the next pages have questions you can ask them, when you write back a letter to them.
Family tree is shown on another page that you can print out and fill in the branches.
About the author and illustrator are included at the end.

"Grandmas Are for Love" is a sweet book written in rhyme about a visit to Grandma's house. The rhyming works fairly well. The story presents Grandma as a typical old-fashioned grandmother many of us adults grew up with, with Grandma making pies and quilts and reading bedtime stories during sleepovers. I was happy to see that the grandma in the book even teaches the grandchild to pray. There are some questions at the back of the book for grandchildren to ask their grandmothers. Kids are encouraged to write the answers down to remember them. Kids may need some help with this part since I believe the target age for this book may be a little too young for kids to fully be able to interview their grandparents and properly write down the answers, so adult help would likely be necessary. The book would make a cute keepsake for grandchildren.
I would recommend this book to kids around ages 4-8, with help for the younger ages when doing the interview questions in the back of the book.

A wonderful story of time spend with Grandma
I could feel the author’s love and appreciation for Grandma in this story as love radiates all over me. A well-written heartwarming story about a relationship between a grandchild and her grandmother. An excellent book for grandparents' day.

Special Grandmother bond
I especially enjoyed the playful rhyming verses tying in all the fun activities you can do with grandma like baking pies and going on walks. The geneology description with a fill-in family tree is a terrific activity for the whole family too. Such a feel-good book.

A beautiful story that reflects the deep connection a child shares with their grandparent(s). The time they spend together laughing, learning and having fun will remain moments a child will cherish forever. This story captures all of these special moments and more. Highly recommended!

I miss my Grandmother!
A lovely story to honor our elder generation. Great for kids of all ages, especially now, when family time tends to be limited. I love the questions in the back. It makes me want to buy a physical copy to keep forever!

Loads to Color Up
There are plenty to color in this coloring book but the surprise is there's a story accompanying the sketches which mirrors the original children's book. Two for the price of one!

This is my first book by Misty Black, but certainly won't be my last. Her heartwarming writing draws you in and the lovely rhymes about all the fun activities you can do with a Grandma are a masterpiece. The illustrations are exquisite too, (thanks for the artwork by Marina Batrak) and with so much lovely detail for the little ones to pick up on, my 2 year old granddaughter loved finding the ladybird on every page.
My favourite bit is that "Grandparents are for sharing stories from so long ago", because I love telling my grandchildren about what their parents were like as children and reminiscing about laughter and adventures and fun times we all enjoyed.

Heartwarming Story
I am so happy to see this beautiful book shared in another language so more kids can enjoy the heartwarming story. This is one of my most favorite books written by this author as it tells a loving story between a child and their Grandmother. Highly recommend to all Kid's and especially those who can read it with their Grandma.

Oma ist eben wirklich die Beste
Was für ein schönes Buch, um die Liebe zwischen Oma und Enkelkind zu zelebrieren. Mit ganz viel Herzblut geschrieben, bringt es mich als Vorleser auch zum Träumen, wie schön es mit Oma und Opa gewesen ist, als ich selbst noch ein Kind war.
