Not for me
Two minds about this book. I have a hard time believing the MC an account, never mind a mother, would only have £10 left to her name travelling in a relic of a car for 3 days. Her personality is so skittish, it's almost like she's just had her daughter.
I'm all for setting the scene but it just got tedious at the end especially with her freak outs every time a woman was near the MMC's. I won't be continuing this series.
3 stars because I managed to get to the end with minimal skips hoping something was going to happen. Alas the something was her epic TSTL moment.

Wow
Its kinda like a car crash that you can't look away from... The story itself was great but the execution was a little rough. I stayed editing how this is were written in my head so it kept pulling me out of the story. Then the ending.. Wow I understand how she reacted since I didn't trust that relationship from the beginning. If they were as in love as they said they'd should have been honest from the get go. Then there was the beginning.... It was sus af.... One moment I swear its something but the longer the story goes on it seems like the situation turns ..? Went from rape to dub con to con? How the neck does that happen? So editing, possible triggers, and them cheating? But there was just something that kept me coming back.

@breroseauthor of course delivered me a good as hell PNR RH. I was interested to see what she could do with PNR since her other books have been MC RH and I was highly in love with this book.
Its a cuter end PNR but we do have some drama..which a bitch needs to stay interested.
I cannot even with that ending. I cannot wait for book 2 I need answers like right the hell now.

Having read the Memphis Duet series I was expecting good things from Shay's Awakening and Bre Rose did not disappoint. In fact to say this book was amazing would be an understatement. She has definitely gone one better with this one.
I loved all of the characters and how they interacted with each other. Ryder, Hunter, Seb and Damien are amazing and I have fallen in love with all of them, Ryder especially. I withold judgement on Mav at the moment, but hope he sees how he is being manipulated.
As for Beba and Chelle, I love them to bits. Beba has got to be the best BFF a woman could have, and Shays daughter Chelle is just adorable.
The only thing I will say about the book that I hated was the ending. I mean Bre how could you give us that cliff hanger? We all need book two immediately!
All in all it was an amazing story that will have you crying and screaming at times, but you won't be able to put it down. I couldn't. Can't wait for the second book in the series a solid 10 out of 5 for me. Thank you Bre for another great storyline.

Shay has a lot to take in when she finds out her men are not human. Can’t wait to she how she adjust to her new world.
I truly enjoyed this story and I am off to read book two.

Bre Rose just landed in my top 10 authors of all times. That’s how phenomenal this book was. Shay’s Awakening was hot, intriguing, secretive, funny, and had one of the best cliffhangers of the year. I love a book that will twist you up and have you feeling for the characters.
I adore Beba and Chelle, the banter with Shay was perfection *chefs kiss* I loved the way Shay became mates and her dad needs is awful for keeping magic from her.
Now let’s talk about our guys. Mav, Sebastian, Damian, Hunter, and Ryder. Five sexy af magical creature. I love each and every one of them. They’re perfect for for Shay.

This is the first book that I have read by Bre Rose and I was throughly impressed. The writing was fantastic as we journey alongside of Shay and her men. I was a little apprehensive with Mav and his technique of handling situations in the beginning. Seb, Damien, Hunter, and Ryder are amazing. They are sweet and kind but also protective. I do hope they learn to open more though. The story was well written and developed. Boy, that major cliffhanger at the end was something else. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Shay's Awakening is a very well written book, with well thought out characters and an interesting plot that only gradually gives readers answers to lingering questions. I believe this is the perfect book for readers who want a devoted harem for their fmc, with men who put their heart on the line and are willing to do everything for their woman. None of them are perfect, mistakes are made, but it's always with Shay's best interest in mind. Then why the four stars? I believe something might be wrong with me, because these characters were a little too sweet and kind for me... I had the same with Tessa Hale's "The shifting fate" series, and I believe this book has the same atmosphere as that series. So I highly suggest this new series for the lovers of Tessa Hale and other sweet cinnamon roll men!

But then you throw in Maverick, a witch/warlock, who wants to claim her as his intended you have a very interesting story that didn't disappoint and after that ending I have to wait for Bk 2.

This book is nothing short of amazing!! Fair warning though - it does have a cliffhanger!! I don’t usually like cliffhangers but for this author, I make an exception. This is a paranormal RH book and it is exceptional!
Shay moves to a town to live with her best friend. Almost instantly she is attracted to 4 different men. I really do not want to give too much away, but this book if a DEFINITE must read!

Loved the story
I really enjoyed the story and the characters. The male main character in the beginning kind of kick me off because I almost felt like that first day in was dub con. And a portion of the book at the end I felt like that was totally cheating but that's just my personal opinion. I will definitely read the second book because I did enjoy the story. 4 stars because of the first sexual situation and the last chapter of the book.

So normally I'm not a big fan of pnr books, but this one is so good and kept me sucked in until the very end. Shay is such a strong fmc who refuses to be controlled and forced into a life she doesn't want by her very strict parents so she makes her own path. It only gets better when she keeps meeting the guys in her harem, who are so 🥵🔥 btw, and have a great dynamic between them. This is a great new series by Bre and I can't wait for the next book!!

This is such a great book! Shay is an amazingly strong character who has overcome so much with the help of her bestie Beba. Chelle is a little darling and the guys I mean wow such hotties and I am jealous! This book book was left on the best possible cliffhanger to lead into book 2 but it definitely pulled my heart and I was so shocked not one that I saw coming at all. I need book 2 like now but it will definitely be worth the wait

Bre Rose did it again!!! This is book one of her second series and she hits it straight out of the park! I could not put the book done, I am totally here for it. Its got the all the feels, the angst, drama and the supernatural element for a PNR.

Typically, I can’t get into paranormal reads, but this one I could. Shay and guys are amazing characters and I can’t wait to watch how themselves and their relationship develops through the trilogy! Shay is a character people can relate to - trying there best to get by whilst still remaking strong!
Congrats again Bre on another amazing release, I can’t wait to see what the next book brings!

This is an amazing book so many twist and turn that you would never see coming!! The guys are my favorite in this book being a sneaking with their plans! Chell never seems to amaze me and shays best friend is the best you never know what is going to come out of her mouth! All around this is one the best books to pick and never put down!!

YES, to all of this! This book is fantastic! Great characters, fabulous plot, delicious steam – it has got it all. I didn’t realize how much I needed some sweet characters in my life until I read this. Shay’s life comes crashing down when she's forced to quit her job. Alone with her daughter Chelle, she picks up and leaves her life behind to move in with her friend Beba. Beba is a phenomenal best friend – the kind every woman wishes they had, she’s a favorite character of mine. They break down on the side of the road on their way there. Luckily, along stumbles a hottie who offers to take her to her new home. Turns out he lives in the same city. The guys – Mav, Sebastian, Damien, Hunter, and Ryder – are all amazing, sweet, and supportive. There is MM in this book. They are all great, they each have something different to offer Shay. Shay has no idea that magic and shifters exist – she’s completely in the dark. This book is a paranormal, RH story. It's intriguing, mysterious, filled with secrets, twists, and turns. The cliffhanger ripped out my heart and I can’t WAIT for the next book! It’s a refreshing new story; if you like shifters, clueless fmc’s, RH, sweet guys, and big secrets – I highly recommend this book! 🖤

Bre Rose is such an awesome author. This is only her third book and her books are inspiring, captivating and just plain good.
OMG this book was amazing. I was absolutely enraptured by the FMC Shay. She's a struggling single mom, an independent woman who has now lost her job, has bills piling up, and seemingly no light at the end of the tunnel. Her friend, Beba, convinces her to move to where she is living, a small town in North Carolina. However, the hits just keep on coming. She meets Damien, then she meets her daughter's new teacher, Sebastian. Then she gets a job at an auto body shop and meets the owner, Ryder and Hunter. Everything seems to be going well. Until...well...I don't wanna spoil too much.
The cliffhanger in this book is a big one. It's going to knock you down and I'm honestly now so anxious for books 2!!

Bre Rose’s first book in her ‘The Prophecy’ series is awakening readers to another one of her amazing novel’s. This story grabbed my attention right from the start. The cast of characters has a wonderful ensemble starting with the main character, Shayna, who is a human (maybe). We have Damien, a Fae, Sebastian, a vampire, Hunter, a wolf shifter and his Alpha brother Ryder, all of which want her as their fated mate. But then you throw in Maverick, a witch/warlock, who wants to claim her as his intended and you come up with a pot of powerful gumbo. This book was so riveting that I couldn’t put it down until the very last page. But warning, it may or may not contain a cliffhanger. Highly recommended and definitely a MUST read!

Shay has been controlled by her parents all through school. Why? Well, she decided to experience a bit of life one night. Then she realized she's pregnant. She runs from her parents because they want to get rid of the baby. Now she has Chelle to provide for and it's a struggle. Shay does move in with her bestie Beba and then meets her men. No details here- you'll need to read this book. I really enjoy the conversations the men had with their inner selves (wolves). Sebastian, Ryder, Hunter and Damien. And then there's Mav. Well, we'll see. Bre has done it again- with her great characters, locations, and her word play. Cliffhangers- not a fan. But, this one's a doozy. An amazing book - thank you Bre. Now- a very important question- when will your next book be done????

I really love the storyline. The only problem I had was the language seemed very formal and stuff at times. It took me a little while to get past that and more invested in the story. The book as a whole is amazing though!!

Wow, I need the next book! I can't wait to see how this ending affects the characters. Although, I do have to say that I can't believe that this book ended the way it did! I love Shay overall, but I especially love how the guys interact with each other. This is the first RH Romance I've read where the guys relationships with each other is developed with details into their backgrounds, instead of just a basic statement of they've been friends since they were young. This is the third book I've ready by this author, and I can't wait to see how this story end, and what Bra Rose comes up with next.

Everything about this book grabs you until you get to the end and.....cliffhanger! That's the only part I didn't enjoy. Loving this new author, but really wish she would write a complete book. Can't wait for the conclusion.
