It's Squirrel versus Hedgehog in the race to the three islands. Squirrel is focused on the race, taking no rests to get further ahead, whereas Hedgehog lives life at a leisurely pace, stopping at each island to take in the scenery and make memories. Who do you think will win?

i read it on a Kindle FIRE and i wish the text and illustrations would have been larger ...only in the middle of the FIRE screen. such fun illustrations and what a cute read!! read through Kindle Unlimited. what fun!!
I like how the book has rhyming in it and the bright colorful pictures. I thought it was very brilliant of the authors to incorporate that while it is still a story and not all about poetry. The primary message/theme of the book is that life is about friendship, love, and acceptance. With the competition of who can get to the islands first, the squirrel was so wound up in that and lost his sense of mind. The genre of this book is adventure. The animals get ready to sail to multiple islands and enjoy the boat ride. An importance adults can take from this is that it is important to teach the importance of loving others because if you destroy others in your attempt to win, you gain hollow victory. Another lesson for children can be that, it is not all about winning in life but enjoying it while you can with your loved ones. This book was a WOW book for me because it has rhyming words that children can learn from it and expand their vocabulary comprehension, it also teaches a huge lesson with the squirrel and hedgehog. The writing craft of this book like mentioned before has rhyming words that play with one another and match very well. The narrative is in third person, capturing the squirrel and his idea of the race and the hedgehog and his idea of the race. Two whole different perspectives about the race and how they felt about it. I believe this book is free of bias because it had multiple opinions about the race and different kinds of animals. It’s portraying how not all of us are the same but we can come all together as one if we put our pride aside.
Cute storybook! Two rivals, Squirrel and Hedgehog, compete in a race to three islands. Who will win? A good storyline, pretty pastel illustrations, and tropical vibes. 🏝 ⛵ 🐠
