I give this book 3.5 stars. It was okay. I think there are a lot of practical tips in its pages but I was looking for something that dug a little deeper. I read this in a group with some other women, and some of them really loved this book, so maybe it appeals more to certain personalities.
That said, I love Lisa’s heart and her core message of loving God and then loving people.
Read for my course. I was skeptical walking into this because it feels like a topic that others have written about and maybe done better? BUT walking through this book I was VERY encouraged as a leader over people to have a greater focus together with my coworkers, volunteers, and fellow staff to take everything before the Lord. And she walked us through the PRACTICAL side. Which I see less often. Most of this book was tangible. Ways that the work was actually being done with the Lord and could be. A helpful read for Christian leaders!
