Someone wants me dead.
Yeah, okay, what's new? The question is—is it the witches, the demigods or the shifters?

Dex will do anything to keep his prized possession safe. Bain, I can't read him, but he smells of lust. For me. Knox's smouldering glances tell me more than words, but whose side is he on?

Then there's Devlin and Slade, to complicate things.

Or to make them more deadly.

I know the guys want me as much as I want them, but before we can get hot and sweaty, I need to know I can trust them. And to do that, they'll need to trust me.

Even if I deceive them all.

Round and round

Viva is getting used to this routine by now. People either just any to use her powers or kill her. It's getting a little old, honestly. But she never saw this part coming. She was supposed to look for the Hs. They weren't supposed to show up in the city.

Spoilers ahead.
Ok. It's a little odd. Usually I would be endlessly frustrated by a FMC who just exists. Viva just exists. Things happen around her. Exciting things, scary things, fun and bad things. And though she's supposed to be a powerhouse she has no training and can do only a few tricks. She has amazing lines, absolutely hysterical lines. The humor between the guys, absolutely hysterical. Her part? Being moved from location to location, usually by kidnapping, to be an object of lust, and useless power. The books are good, the humor, the political intrigue, the different factions interactions, and the mystery of the released deity. Usually I would be done with a series of more than 1 book of the FMC being content to be a pawn but the humor is such a heavy lifter that I keep going.
