This book is aimed at teenagers, but I feel it could be beneficial to others. In fact, I found it a blessing, challenge, and encouragement to myself personally.

It is a verse-by-verse walk through the book of Proverbs, with daily commentary, advice, and admonition to choose the path of godliness now! Your choices will affect your future. Very practical and down-to-earth.

The author uses the NKJV. There is usually at least one fill-in-the-blank per devotional, and if using a different version (including KJV), the answer is occasionally not plain or obvious.

There are some typos scattered throughout the book, including grammatical.

The book is divided into 142 weeks, with six days of daily devotions per week (Monday through Saturday). If a person followed this format, it would take them over two and a half years to complete the book. Most days, the devotional only covered one verse, and could probably be read or completed in just a couple minutes. I think teens are capable of more than that. And on the flip side, taking over two years to complete the book, might cause them to put it aside more easily.
Personally, I would have liked the devotionals to have covered more than one verse. There were times when one verse naturally flowed into the next. For myself, I read a week in one setting, so that would be an alternate way to use the book. In that case, you could complete the book in six months, if you read from it six days a week.

Despite my negative comments on the book's format, I still think it has much to offer. It will challenge readers, and especially teens, to make wise choices now. Follow God's path rather than the path of the world. God's path leads to peace and blessing; the world's path leads to despair and heartache.

The author is a personal friend of mine, a godly woman, with a tender heart for ministry to teens and women.

I would give this book 4 1/2 stars if I could.
