While known primarily for his translations from Russian, Andrey Kneller has also written a great deal of his own poetry. He was born and grew up in Moscow, Russia. In 1993, when he was ten, his family immigrated to United States. He has been writing and translating poetry since the age of fourteen. His work has appeared in a number of literary magazines and journals, including National Forum, Gentle Reader, Unlikely Stories, and the Hypertexts. This book is a complete collection of his poetry from 1999 to the present day.

About the author

Andrey Kneller (1983 - ) is a Russian-born poet/translator. Attracted to the lyrical, rhyming quality of Russian poetry, Andrey has published over a dozen collections of Russian poetry translations, including such poets as Anna Akhmatova, Marina Tsvetaeva, Vladimir Mayakovsky, among others. His own poetry has appeared in a number of journals including Slide, Futures Magazine, National Forum: The Phi Kappa Phi Journal and Unlikely Stories. Andrey lives in Southborough, MA with his wife and two children.

There were several lines in this book that I positively adored. Other poems- especially the ones where the author compares himself to Jesus, or boasts about the prowess of his poems, were a little too much for me.
