M Guida has always loved fantasy and romance, especially dragons. Growing up, she devoured fantasy books and all kinds of young adult books. And then she found romance and a whole new world opened up to her.
Now as an adult, she fell in love with academy romance and has blended all of her past loves into one compelling series. Dragons, vampires, elves, demons, and shifters all attend Legacy Academy.
When she's not writing, she lives in the colorful Rocky Mountains with her fur baby, Raven, and enjoys taking her for walks.

This is book eight of the Legacy Academy series and Ebony has finally managed to win Gunnar for herself and they have mated, not helped by all the dirty magic and tricks that Jaxon pulled on her over the last year, as he wanted her for himself. But now they have other issues to worry about, as Jaxon’s actions led to the Dark Demon Ari breaking the head Anton’s wards over the school and getting out of the dungeon beneath the school. It also allowed King Cormac inside Legacy’s walls, to kidnap the young witch Artemis, who possessed the Witch’s Magic Stone. Cormac now has at least three of the stones and is becoming far too powerful. Anton needs Ebony and the other Sentinels, Gunnar and his dragon Hades, Armond the Golden Demon Healer and his twin brother Darius a Runner, Cadye, Armond’s mate, Ashton and Kyle who were wolf shifters, and Jaxon the spoilt rich vampire who caused most of what had just happened in the arena. Anton orders them to travel quickly to the Starlight Kingdom with Montae, to protect the Fae Time Stone which King Finbar holds. They know there will be traps and dangers awaiting them along the way, but they are the only ones that could get there in time to make any difference in this war. Her sister and the rest of the Defenders are too far away to help, so it is up to the Sentinels under Ebony’s lead, to get there and help. They will also need to get back and help protect Legacy and the final magical stones. King Cormac wants to use the stones to open a portal to the Elder Dimension and to Earth as well, allowing all the evil creatures he controls to enter and destroy everything in their path. Her father and the Freedom Fighters will also hopefully join them, but will be there well behind them. Legacy has students with mixed ancestry and backgrounds, something some other paranormals don’t take kindly to. Ebony is a prime example of having three different ancestries to call upon, with her family thinking she would have a dragon as her main and dominant form, like the rest of her family. They were shocked to find it was her vampire side that was dominant and she can turn into a large bat or even a mist. She has lived under her father and her older sister’s famous powers and now is nothing like what was expected. Her bond with Gunnar has managed to expand the powers she has, she just has to find out what they are and how to use them. They will come across some unexpected allies, but also signs of the deadly battle the Fae of the Starlight Kingdom have already suffered. They are aware that the Darkness and Ari are there somewhere, Ryker, Faas, who can shoot deadly fireballs at them, as well as King Cormac and his armies of dark creatures. They are overwhelmed and only have three years of training, not having even graduated from the academy yet, but her team of Sentinels are the strongest fighters they have available. Some or all of them may not survive and Ebony must embrace all of her new powers to battle the Darkness and the rest. The rest of the team are looking to her to give them guidance on what to do. When they arrive at the Fae castle, the kidnapped witch is being forced to concentrate the power of the stones, to destroy its walls and kill any fighters who get in its way. The battle rages and the king’s son Rhys joins them, as Gunnar and the team come under the evil actions of his sister and her mate. Their numbers will be decreased and they will also need to return to Legacy to stop the final stones getting into Cormac’s hands. This is the final battle and will govern all their futures. It is the final chapter of the Legacy series and brings in some connections with Rusty, Julie and a few Archangels from the Reaper Academy series as well. Full of action and heartbreak, as these students face such overwhelming odds and personal loss as well as growth under difficult circumstances. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
The final installment to Ebony’s Legacy and everything is coming to a head. Who will win the war? Now that the Vex of the Heart curse is broken and Ebony has officially mated with Gunnar, it’s time to head to war. The Sentinels will miss out on their fourth year at Legacy, but time is up and they have to go to war and save the realm. Thanks to Jaxon’s antics, Ari has escaped and now the Unseelie and Dark Demons have the Witch’s stone. An attack on the Fae is imminent and The Defenders can’t get there in time, so it’s up to The Sentinels, which, surprisingly, still includes Jaxon. Unfortunately, his sore loser, bad attitude is also with them. Everything now rests on Ebony’s shoulders to make sure her friends and family make it out of this alive while also finally taking down the threat. Can she do it? I guess you’ll have to read to find out. I absolutely love how everything played out. I felt like I was on a roller coaster, one thing after another keeping me enthralled in the story. Jaxon continued to piss me off with his negativity. Especially since he still seemed to believe that Ebony wasn’t strong enough simply because she is a female. I love how things work out for him, though. Thankfully, the rest of the team did everything they could and kept their heads up, believing in Ebony, even when things looked bleak. Ebony’s character came a long way through the series and it was great to see her blossom into the badass she was meant to be. Even though she was reluctant to go to Legacy in the first place, she grew to the challenge and exceeded expectations in every way. Unfortunately, I can’t give Ebony’s Legacy Year Four full stars due to the horrid editing. I was hoping that it would improve again, but was disappointed. As I said above, I was enthralled with the storyline and everything that was happening, but I was frequently pulled out of the story for the same issues that I experienced with the other books. I can handle missed commas and even minor inconsistencies, but the constant missing words and half-altered sentences were killing me. As a writer myself, I understand how difficult it can be to properly edit and proofread your work, but a simple read-through (not skimming) would have solved a lot of the issues. Overall, this was a wonderful series to read. I definitely intend to read Legacy Academy and see where everything started. There was a little spice in this book, but I’d still qualify it as a young adult book. If you’re into Harry Potter, The Avengers, and love mythical creatures, I highly recommend this series. However, you should probably start with the Legacy Academy series instead of this follow-up series. I don’t think it will take too much away to have read them out of order, but I feel like knowing Raven’s story and how things started would have been a better way for me to start.
Starting all the way back in Raven's portion of the series, this entire story arc is poorly written and borrows heavily from pop culture icons (even referencing specific scenes in Harry Potter). Ebony's story is particularly more sloppy as the series drags on. And boy does it drag. This book specifically is like pulling teeth or walking through jello - slow, painful, messy and totally dissatisfying.
Character wise, Ebony is obnoxiously whiney for most of the series, and doesn't develop anything resembling a backbone until around page 200 of this fourth and final installment of her storyline. She has the framework of being an interesting character but the author never fleshes ANYTHING out well. Anything. Gunnar for example never becomes more than the pretty boy that she's attracted to. Sure, he seems nice, but we don't ever see much beyond him being relatively nice and respectful. Costin is garbage and Anton isn't much better. At no point in 8 books do any of these idiotic elderly males learn that their lack of communication and appropriate knowledge sharing causes about 85% of the hurdles, and they never resolve the bullies. They know about it and just let the trash perpetuate. Speaking of trash, Jaxon, Kara, Killian, Ari, Faas - why is the author insistent on letting them perpetuate? She has no problem killing off the good people but the bad guys get protected by the protagonists? It makes no sense. Much like Yasmin, makes no sense. That entire roomie drama was bizarre and unnecessary and unresolved despite the vague melodramatic hint of a curse breaking on her.
The pacing is awful. The backstories are vague at best but often completely ignored and then vaguely hinted at without appropriate context. The editing is absolute garbage - poor sentence structure, dropped and excess words randomly throughout, and the author repeatedly confuses characters and plot details. At one point in this book Anton is scolding Jaxon and later in the same sentence Jaxon makes a disappointed sound and directs "him" to return to class or a dorm or something. It's messy and a painful read.
It becomes insanely obvious that the author is trying to expand an ok storyline into a massive universe. Unfortunately they don't have the skills or attention to detail required for creating anything complex. A single interesting story idea is not enough, and that's the best I can say for this series - it starts with a good idea but developed into a dumpster fire.
It was so enticing that I couldn’t put it down, this book grabbed my interest from the very first page. I had to know what happened next. The story is well written with a very good storyline. This story is a slow burn, with a love triangle, forbidden romance, fated mates, and found family. Grab this new romance academy where you’ll met Dragons, Wolves, Demons, Fae, and Vampires. Welcome back to Legacy Academy. The legacy continues with Raven’s sister Ebony’s story. It’s time for the last battle between Good and Evil. Ebony, her mate Gunnar, the Sentinels, and the Defenders are all in a fight for their lives. The last dragon stone is hidden in the Starlight Kingdom and it’s a race between them and their enemies. Sacrifices will have to be made to win this war, but she’s determined to keep her loved ones safe, especially Gunnar for this is their last chance for happiness and she’ll do anything to make it happen. Enjoy the final chapter in the Legacy series. So with all that and more this story pulls you in and holds you tight. I love the ending. Next up is Raven’s best friend Julie’s story as she attends the Academy for Reapers. I highly recommend to everyone.
Probably don’t read this one till you’ve read 1-3. It’s SO GOOD, but we’re in the full swing here, as far as the war that had been brewing for the previous installments and it just might not make sense if you were to start here.
That said, this is a fast-paced, action-packed read that really gripped me. I had to pay attention and hold on tight—and I loved every minute of it.
War. Lots of action scenes. Magic. Vampires. Dragons. Academy setting. Battles. Danger. Hades!! Need I say more? I love him so much. Demons. Fae.
Overall: There were a couple of instances of poor grammar, and a hiccup or two on the audio (sentences repeated, minor things). Ultimately though, Ebony’s Legacy 1-4 have been a fun whirlwind of intrigue and action. Will absolutely explore more by this author.
4 stars.
🎧 Audio: It was great—I feel like the narrator really got into this one, as she made some odd sound effects. They didn’t always match the descriptions, but I appreciate the effort. Overall, very well done. 4 stars.
This is a series that will have you hooked from the very beginning. The action and adventure just pull the reader right in and have kept the story line racing along. The last battle between good and evil is an overwhelming temptation, so don’t turn away. Grab your copy and see if Ebony can keep everyone safe and bring us to a satisfactory closure. The last dragon stone is hidden in the Starlight Kingdom. Now it is down to a final all-out race between the good guys and the bad. Who will win this one?
We have action, suspense and more. I can't wait for a story on Darius, Rusty and all the others. Fallow Ebony on her journey believing in herself and trying to help the everyone. Who will die and who will live? Can they get the stones back and save the other stones from Ryker and the others? Follow the action and enjoy the journey.

We have reached the end of Ebony's story. It has been a great series. the Legacy Academy books don't lack adventure or excitement. Still, many characters left to have their own stories. Rusty's & Julie's story can be found in the Academy for Reaper's series.

This was a great finale for this series. Glad we got to see everything mostly tied up in a bow. although I loved the Easter eggs for other characters the will get their own stories or series. So happy that Ebony and Gunnar got their HEA!
I really enjoyed this whole series great storyline had a bit of everything that I want in a book romance, adventure, action , friendships, supernaturals. The characters were amazing , I loved it and have nothing bad to say about it I would highly recommend this series and look forward to reading more of M Guida stories
I love everything about all the books I have read in this series. What started out to be an irritating annoyance, became a game I challenged myself to play!!! Finding all of the misplaced words, wrong tense words, nonsense comments with reversed orders, and other interesting boo-boos.
Great series, editing was very poor though. Hard to get through and fully follow along with all the errors. Would love to know how someone read through it and thought yeah this is good. It seemed like every few sentences there were spelling and grammar errors as well as words being repeated at the beginning and end of sentences.
It was a great read. Thought that the war lasted too long and Ebony should have found her powers a little earlier. Want to see how everyone is doing getting their lives together ❤ 😔 😢
When I started reading this story, I could not put it down. I read the book in one day. This author is an awesome writer. I cannot wait to read more of their books. Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book.
She has created a complex set of characters which intermingled into such a huge Saga throughout her books. I can't wait for her next creation. I also believe a series on Netflix or similar would be amazing!!
The conclusion. There is a mating. The gang sets off to go into battle and take on the evil to stop the leader from collecting all the stones. This part reminded me a little bit like Guardians of the Galaxy. Also Ebony learns the reason for Legacy and why the people who attend was chosen.
I loved reading about Ebony and the Sentinels! Lots of actions and hardships. Following these young people through their growth and heartache was intense. Thank you for writing this story. Can't wait for more adventures from them!
I enjoy every book. Each one took a new turn. I fell in love with all of the characters and all of the scenes they were in. This would be a series I would reread.
M Guido is a excellent author. The series she wrote was suspensive and kept you wondering what was to happen next. I hope her other books are just as good
This was a great installment to this series and I really enjoyed it and how the story came together. I didn’t want it to end and got me, that’s a great book.
