I feel like there’s not a lot of books out there about cryotherapy and cold exposure. This was a good intro to the subject. It breaks down the science and health benefits of cold exposure therapy. The second half of the book takes a lot from James Clear’s “Atomic Habits” book and applies it to creating daily habits of cold showers and cold therapy. Overall, a good read for anybody interested in cryotherapy, cold showers, and cold exposure therapy.

Concise and to the Point.

This is a good introduction to the subject and possibly all one needs to get started and get results. I am looking forward to beginning.

Offers basic information on cold therapy. Was hoping for something more science packed. Could have been written in 20-30 pages.

I was looking for a book to inspire me to do more cold therapy. I finished this book and wasn't inspired. I think I was looking for more personal story, and James did give some, so I guess I needed other people's testimonials or stories. I've read Wim Hoff's stuff and have taken cold showers. I have one set up outside. What I'd like to do is more ocean swimming. I live about 12 minutes from the ocean and was looking for inspiration to get me to drive there. I am left to figure that out for myself. The book didn't even cover that. It left me feeling like swimming in the ocean (at 52 degrees near me) doesn't rate. I would need a body of water that is less than 40 degrees F.

I liked the addition of some tips for creating new habits and strategies for that. The book covers safety over and over.
