The Anti-Judaism of the Bible: The Roman Origins of Christianity

Rate this book
The Anti-Judaism of the The Roman Origins of Christianity builds upon the metaphoric interpretation of Bethlehem, The War of Jesus, and Paul's Plan for Peace , 2018, to define the Bible as an Anti-Sadducean treatise intended to justify the temple's destruction. First, it finds the messianic prophecies from Israel's King Agrippa II (Eusebius), who wrote from Rome (Josephus, Life ), foundational to Matthew's Gospel as based upon Peter's non-canonical Gospel (John Dominic Crossan, Who Killed Jesus 1995), yet overlaid with Thomas's Alexandrian Gospel's exasperation with Jewish xenophobia and sexism. Then, using Pierre Krijbolder's metaphoric interpretation in Crucifixion and Turin Shroud Mysteries Solved , 1989, it takes Robert Eisenman's exceptional revelations in James, the Brother of Jesus , 1997, to reveal the Bible as Rome's ultimate triumph over Jerusalem subjecting Jews to millennia of persecution.

Finally, it declares Vatican II 1964 and the Catholic Church's 1970 translation of Rev 2 & 3 as properly mitigating the antisemitism of the Holocaust, finding more modern Catholic translations as prosecutable recrudescence suggesting reparations in order. Although the author's specialty is in first-century Catholicism/Judaism/Stoicism/Gnosticism, after defining the anti-Judaism of the Bible, Ray Shortell found it necessary to include references to Europe's, or more specifically, Spain's sixteenth-century view of Jews as tax collectors (thieves or snakes since John the Baptist), subservient to and owned by royalty as per David Nirenberg's Anti-Judaism , 2013, to explain the historic persecution allowing Germany's Holocaust.
