When Private Investigator Charlotte Lockwood’s friend Katrina is Cat-fished, she is asked to hunt down who was behind the scam. But when the Cat-fisher is found murdered Katrina is the prime suspect. Together with her partner Angus Darrow, they must get to the truth to exonerate Katrina.
Excellent addition to the Lockwood and Darrow stories
I’m not trying to damn this book with faoint praise, but reading it was just like watching an episode of Shakespeare and Hathaway (my current favourites of the “cosy mystery” genre on TV). It isn’t challenging, it isn’t nauseating, it’s just nice people solving mysteries, and if that isn’t worth a read, someone should tell Richard Osman!
Loved the detail and description. As a local person I enjoyed the storyline also the humour. I wonder if it will work out for these two. Looking forward too the rest of the series.
Charlotte and Angus are after a murderer this time. It all starts with a friend of Charlotte's who has been conned by a crooked investment counselor. It's an exciting mystery at times. I'm looking forward to book number 3.
