This was quite a nice book. Found it at a book sale, and for a children’s sci-fi it’s got some gory bits. There’s tons of action and the story is fast paced. We follow Tam as she grows curious about the planet she lives in and why is it that suddenly the Elder has decided they all have to go back to Earth. And as she starts venturing outside the wall of trees that separate her community from t he rest of the planet we also start discovering who else lives in here and why they have been kept apart by the Elder. It’s a very good story, you can get through it in a couple of days and it’s a standalone. Probably a great way to start introducing older children into sci-fi.
