This is my daughter's book, so I'm somewhat partial, but I honestly loved it! I've never considered myself a huge werewolf fan, but I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know her characters and seeing them change and evolve from the first versions of her book to this one. This is a dream come true for her, and I'm so proud she worked hard to make this happen!

This book is so amazing! It had good suspense and really good characters, my favorite character is Jade. She has had a really hard life and she is very different from everyone else but even after her friends find out her secret they are still ready to stand next to her. Now that's what I call true friendship. The cliffhanger at the end makes me want to read the next book even more! I also really liked the bonus chapter from Valery's point of view. I really liked the part where Darren took Jade up to the sanctuary/the nature spot, the way it's explained creates a beautiful picture in my mind that calms my body and helps me relax. Even though Ash is the bad guy I think he had a really good plan, I don't think he was planning on having the rogue's help the packwolves and that really affected the way his plan worked. I also really liked Desert he was a really good friend to Jade and I really want to see more of him in the next book.

When is the sequel?
The characters are believable and dynamic. I loved the honerable and hated or pitied the scoundrels.
The story line rises and falls effectively culminating in a gripping crescendo.
And the cliffhanger!!! When is the sequel?
The only reasons why I didn't give this a 5 is because of a few minor grammaticals and I personally want some of the very long paragraphs broken into smaller bites.

I honestly really liked this book!! The main female character was a great mix of strong and brave while also still being honest about her vulnerability. She was a naturally likable character which is sometimes hard to find. The main male character, Darren, felt a little bit flat to me. Sometimes he’d take charge and seem more alpha like and other times he’d seem a bit whiny. He seemed to develop quite a bit towards the end so I’m excited to see where his character goes in the next book!
If I’m honest, a leading factor in me finishing a book is the romance. This first book flirted with the idea of romance but never fully committed. This is probably to reflect Jade’s hesitance to open up to Darren but it was a bit frustrating at times. They’d get so close just for nothing to really happen! I enjoy clean, slow burn romance. So my hopes for the next book in this area are high.
As I said earlier, I liked the main female character. However, a lot of her chapters felt very dialogue heavy. This isn’t really a huge issue, but it feels excessive when the romance isn’t progressing and some conversations with other characters seem repetitive. I also wasn’t a huge fan of Ash’s chapter or Luke’s. I know this was to give the reader a glimpse into their minds. But it was pretty easy to pick up on it throughout the main characters lens and felt kind of unneeded. The mystery of their minds might have been a nice touch.
Lastly, her being a blood wolf!? I honestly thought she’d be a phantom wolf and was very surprised. But it’s a cool storyline so I’m excited to see how it plays out. I also hope that Darren really steps into his alpha role and becomes someone who can stand next to such a strong wolf and seem capable of holding his ground as well
