Are you tired of working long hours and not getting anything done? Do you feel like your work is never finished? You’re constantly behind on everything, and it feels like there’s no end in sight?
It doesn't have to be this way. Work Less, Finish More is a concise and to-the-point book that will teach you key productivity principles the masters of time management use to spend less time working and more time relaxing and enjoying their lives.
If you feel like your life has been nothing but work, Work Less, Finish More will help you change. You will learn how you can waste less precious time doing things you don't want to be doing. The lessons within this effective book will teach you how you too can become the kind of successful person who enjoys their lives instead of merely existing.
In Work Less, Finish More you will learn:
• Key productivity habits the successful know (and the overworked don't) • How to use these productivity habits to understand your own productivity strategy • How to identify work that isn't productive and painlessly cut it out (so you spend less time working) • How to create an efficient working environment (so you can accomplish more)
I've been there before. I know what it's like to work too much and not have energy left over for anything else in life. I understand the struggle of wanting a better life but not knowing where to start. My passion for a better solution inspired me to start a blog that has reached over three million readers so far. My book is the culmination of everything I've learned. It took me three years of hard work to figure out, but you can learn it all in just a few days.
I'm currently reading the book (read about a third so far) and I find it useful. This is essentially a summary of a lot of productivity advice you find in many places. It tells you what you need to know about productivity briefly and without any fluff (which in itself is important for productivity). The explanations are clear and to the point The only thing I feel is missing is real-life examples/stories, since I feel they give more motivation to act on the advice.
“Productive people are productive because when they are on autopilot, good habits take over. Unproductive people are so because when they are on autopilot, bad habits take over.”
This book is a great collection of tips and tricks for time management and productivity with Holstein’s own personal stories of struggle and success.
I appreciated the focus on minimalism and drilling down to what is most important as well as taking an honest look at yourself and your habits to figure out what you want to change.
Megan Holstein is a minimalist who is also a self-improvement writer. This book is unique in that Holstein takes the many aspects of other productivity and self-improvement writers (such as Covey, Tracy, Pareto, Heath, and many others) and ties them together in a unified and comprehensive manner.
She shows how motivation is a result of hard work… not the cause of it. She is an advocate of designing our environment to facilitate “flow”. She teaches how to show up and do the small things consistently that will amount to big wins in your life.
Holstein helps us understand the relationship between minimalism, clutter, rest, distraction, and ultimately how these things affect our productivity/sense of well-being/peace/enjoyment in life.
This book is short and to the point. Megan Holstein is a minimalist, and her writing reflects it. It is potent and applicable. She doesn’t fill the book with unnecessary fluff and extra stories just to fill it out. She intends for you to get in, get out, and make lasting changes in your life.
A good short self-help book on clearing the flotsam of life to increase your productivity. Eliminate doom scrolling, remove mindless TV, and concentrate on what matters to your goals are standard. Cleaning house also normal. Mindfully setting up your home so that the tasks you want to do are at hand instead of the mindless - that is new. You want to meditate - put the meditation pillow in the middle of the living room instead of having the room set up for TV watching. Likewise make the apps you need to meet your goals front page center on your phone upon opening and bury the time-wasters, if you keep them around at all. Similar advice for the computer.
Setting yourself up for success instead of more of the same - get yourself into the flow and stay there. That is good advice.

I love short reads like this one. Direct to the point, no fluff! The self-help world is full of books that leave you wondering what you have just read after finishing the book. But this one was full of practical and relatable examples and action items. Plus it was an easy read, thanks to the use of simple English and zero psychology mumbo jumbo.
A must-read for freelancers, writers, and those who think their to-do list is crazy loooooong....
Any amazing book from my favorite author on Medium. Procrastination and distraction has been my biggest weakness. Megan has provided simple tools to overcome anyone's procrastination. It sure has helped me get back on track and achieve my goals. Highly recommended!
