... SAID THE EDITOR: ANTHOLOGY 2021 edited by by Ava Safran is a quick study guide. It has useful examples, essays, ideas, failures, tips, misused words, confusing words to avoid—all valuable information in a short, enjoyable read on how to go about editing a piece of writing. The contents are down-to-earth, practical, and constructive.
I’ve read a great many “How to” books on editing, but this little handbook has valid suggestions and expedient ways to approach the editing process.

GENEROUS INSIGHTS
Far exceeding any university class on editing and writing: Ava brings us a treasure. It reaches the reader on many levels, as she touches candidly on her process while moving through the search for a publisher. Her deeply relatable account is a gift to anyone in the literary field, those who have experienced a rejection letter, and if you want to avoid pitfalls. More invaluable lessons learned, guidelines, generously shared insights, and clear, concise examples are brilliantly written and to the point. I will read this book again and again.

Ava Safran has assembled an anthology of great advice for writers and editors. If you’re a starving author like me, seeking pointers on how to self-polish your own manuscript, or you’re an editor/proofreader struggling to break into the business, you’ll wanna read this book!
