He said only the strongest survive...Will I be one of them?

Last night was hell.

My best friend betrayed me. My hopes of hiding from the supernatural were shattered. Aiden and I barely escaped a hunter attack alive.

And it’s not even over.

An Ancient, one of the oldest shapeshifters in existence, is after Aiden.

Going home is too risky, running is pointless, and I have no choice but to fight. But what happens when that fight turns into a more deadly situation than I ever imagined?

And what happens when I have to trust my enemies to protect the ones I love?

Sequel to Leah Copeland's debut "Blue Moon Eyes", "Silver Moon Cries" picks up Sydney's right where its predecessor left it to keep telling us a tale of wolves, magic, and destiny. After surviving heartbreaking betrayals and deadly fights, Sydney isn't foolish enough to think that the worst is now behind her. Instead, she knows that greater challenges than she could've ever imagined lie ahead; an Ancient by the name of Dorian is out to get Aiden, her Gigi's necklace glows mysteriously when she's upset, and her life has been altered past the point of no return after she got bitten by a werewolf. As the full moon draws near, and Sydney approaches the night of either her shift into a wolf or her death, the stakes can't seem to keep growing; it will take her surprising alliances, and every ounce of determination, to survive what's coming.

While book 1 took its time building the romantic tension between Aiden and Sydney, as well as the charm of the supernatural world, this sequel jumps straight into action without wasting a single word. Rather than a sequel, "Silver Moon Cries" is a direct continuation to "Blue Moon Eyes" - which makes for a sense of flow and connection between the end of the first book, and the beginning of the second. You thought that the stakes were high? Oh, mate, brace yourself! Throughout the whole book, the feeling of tension only grows, to the point that I found myself needing to remember to take deep breaths before starting the next chapter. Imminent war against Dorian, anxiety from finding out more about her true nature, and werewolf-fueled enhancement of emotions mix up into an explosive cocktail that has Sydney on edge during the entire book. If "Blue Moon Eyes" was full of the innocence of discovering the supernatural world, "Silver Moon Cries" is far darker, filled with the apprehension of understanding that being in too deep comes with consequences. This sequel was definitely darker than its predecessor, which made it all the more enjoyable to walk in Sydney's shoes. Considering the kind of pressure she's under, book 3 promises to be an interesting one!

Now that they're officially a couple, Aiden and Sydney are faced with the next stage in their bond: working to establish the trust, respect, commitment and companionship needed for any and every relationship to thrive. As much as I'm rooting for them, I definitely felt like Sydney drifted away from him here and there, too absorbed in her own issues (understandable, though) to remember that she doesn't need to carry the weight of the world upon her shoulders. In that sense, Aiden's unconditional support was really heartwarming, but I do hope we get to see more open communication about it in book 3! Couples that simply get each other are good, but couples that actually talk about what's working and what isn't just hit different. Here's to hoping that Sydney will be able to open up, to be vulnerable, and to show up authentically! Despite what this little rant may make you think, they were still a really sweet duo, and Aiden made sure to keep making me sigh and swoon every time he was on the page. Holy cow, I really do need to place my order on BookBoyfriendsExpress dot com! Gonna set a reminder on my phone calendar, for the next payday.

Whereas the first book was more of a plot-driven story, I feel like "Silver Moon Cries" was more of a Sydney-driven tale, diving deep into the emotional turmoil she's going through as well as all her concerns, plans, and attempts at making sure everyone she loves will be alright. Different challenges arise one after the other, forcing her to make decisions and look for ways out. Because of this, the book felt a lot more focused on her than the first one, in which stuff happened to her. Here, Sydney takes what's going on and brings her own take to it, which makes for a fascinating account of her journey into the supernatural.

All of this is to say, don't hesitate to start this series today! Be ready, though, to die from hype waiting for book 3. It promises to be an absolute blast!

His calloused fingers gently slid up my cheeks, and he searched my face one more time. “I’ll make it back to you. I promise.”
“Don’t make promises you can’t keep.”
“I don’t.” He leaned in and pressed his lips to mine, kissing me harder than before.
My pulse shot up, not because of the bond bolting through me like lightning, but because of the way he kissed me. Like he might not get to again.

"Maybe I was broken - I had been for a long time, in so many ways - but I still had a purpose. I still had worth. My failures and fractured relationships couldn't define me the way I let them before."

I absolutely loved reading Silver Moon Cries. In the sequel to Blue Moon Eyes we pick up right at the cliffhanger of book one (I love it when books do that). I feel like I could talk about this book forever! It has everything a reader could ever want from a paranormal romance and more. It's equally as much of a page turner as the last, I found myself struggling to put it down. Copeland's ability to leave you needing more after each chapter will keep you reading into the early hours of the morning. Sydneys character growth is just one of the things I loved. She is such an endearing character, her inner monologues and banter with Aiden are the best. I also liked getting to meet her dad and that whole scene with her mum ripped my heart out. I felt her pain.
As for the romance it's in full swing and if possible I fell in love with Aiden even more. Seriously though he is literally perfect!! After the slow burn of book one I really liked how their romance progressed into book two. Now I'm itching to read the next book in the Series, Leah you have me hooked!

An amazing sequel to an excellent series! I absolutely loved this book...I love this whole story. We get to dive even deeper into this supernatural world in this tale and the magic, twists, and betrayals constantly kept me on my toes.

Aiden is perfect. Absolute book boyfriend material right here. If possible, I fell even more in love with him. Poor Sydney goes through so much, but I felt like I was right there with her through all of her struggles (and growth).

I am absolutely, 100%, obsessed with this story and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Silver Moon Cries is a true romantic paranormal adventure from start to finish, with a swoony hero, a strong (but still figuring it all out) heroine and friendships that are stronger than blood.

The second part of Sydney and Aiden's story was action-packed and drama-filled! I felt so much for Sydney during parts of this story. Her world has been turned upside down, and while I think she took it so well, I could just feel her emotions and frustrations.
I really enjoyed this story. I feel a big battle looming, and I can't wait to read it!

Sydney story continues in this book. And what a ride it is. Things start to become clearer and Aiden is by her side the whole time. She gains new insights and new friends. Loyalties are tried and an unexpected person shows up just at the right time.

This series is getting better and better. I couldn’t put it down, which made going to work very difficult. I can’t wait for the next one. Leah is a great writer and her writing is getting better and better with each turn of the page.

Holy crap! Buckle up because you're in for a wild ride!! Exciting developments, betrayals, fights, love!!

This picks up right where Blue Moon Eyes left off. Sydney has so much growth in this story and I love it! She becomes so much stronger and learns about love and forgiveness. I love her relationships with Liv and Aiden. They're so heart wrenching and beautiful! "Maybe I was broken - I had been for a long time, in so many ways - but I still had a purpose. I still had worth. My failures and fractured relationships couldn't define me the way I let them before." I mean heck yes!! I love that moment when you realize everyone is broken but we're all here doing our best. This is so beautifully written! I love it!!

"He's be crazy to think I wouldn't choose him, after everything we'd been through, being apart would never be an options for me. I was completely his until my last breath." Ugh, be still my heart. Aiden is just as swoon worthy in this book! I love how he steps up to protect Syd and to help her be her best self. Book boyfriends are so perfect!!

Pete is still a side character I can't get enough of! I'm hoping for even more of him in the next book!! I honestly can't wait for the next one! There's so many unanswered questions and so much excitement!! Another fabulous read!! I definitely recommend this series!!

Aiden and Sydney ♡

I think i loved book two even more than one ♡ Sydney definitely grows more with and without Aiden in this book. More of her family lineage comes to light and truths about her future.
Sydney also faces so heartbreaking choices in this book and loyalties are broken.

With the full moon closing in Sydney's emotions run high as the change slowly begins to happen over the week leading up to her change... if she survives.
She leans more on Aiden and in doing so their relationship grows and so does their bond.
They learn more about the ancients plans and find out that enemies have joined forces making things even harder for the duo and their friends.
With Aiden next in line to be Alpha many want to force him into century old customs rather than letting him chose his own path and ultimately Sydney. Many see bitten wolves as dirty blood and not good enough for an Alpha.
Aiden will have to make the ultimate choice walk away from Sydney and their bond or walk away from the only pack he's ever known. Many wouldn't think it a hard choice but then again who even knows if Sydney will survive the transformation at all.

Definitely Recommend Reading 📚

This book picks up right where the last left off, throwing you headfirst into chaos, betrayal, and a world where survival means trusting people you swore you never would. The emotional rollercoaster is real: friendships fall apart, secrets unravel, and the stakes just keep climbing. The Ancient? Terrifying. The hunters? Relentless. And Aiden? Still the dark, complicated protector we all love—with even more on the line.

What I loved most is how much the main character grows. She’s forced to step into a strength she never asked for, and the question isn’t just “will she survive”—it’s what will it cost her to protect the people she loves?

Full of danger, heartbreak, loyalty, and impossible choices, this installment raises the bar. If you thought the first book was intense, buckle up—because this one will leave your heart racing and your hands turning pages as fast as possible.

I couldn't imagine any other way to continue from where Blue Moon Eyes left off. Starting the second book of the series felt like no time had passed at all. The entirety of Silver Moon Cries kept me on edge just like the first one did - but never in a way I could have predicted. I truly am amazed at the ways this story continues to surprise me!

Just like Blue Moon Eyes, its sequel's characters continue to show us that loving relatability we always adore.... in the fantasy world of werewolves and hunters. Get ready to hang out on the edge of your seat for the entire length of the book :)

I am absolutely thrilled to find out where Leah takes this bunch in book three!

Note: I received an advanced reader copy in exchange for sharing my honest review, so there it is!!

I was hoping this book would be better than the previous. I was disappointed. These 5 star ratings definitely have to be relatives, friends or acquaintances. Insta love is not for me. This story was was just as dull as the first but somehow worse. The characters are corny and the plot is boring. I really wanted to finish this series but I'm tapping out.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first book, but I liked the sequel even more! I really enjoyed the relationships development with Sydney, Aidan and Liv especially (we need more Pete though! 😉). So much action and the ending left me wanting more!

Fantastic book 2

I always love it when you find a book 2 that is just as well written as book 1. This book has everything, action, romance, suspense and betrayals. I cannot wait to see where Leah takes this story and how it all wraps up.
