Okay so as a big fan of WildC.A.T.s, Team Youngblood, Spawn, Strikeforce, Savage Dragon, Wetworks, etc, that was a lot of fun. I wish this was the main Justice League title, as it's wayyy more fun than what Bendis is spewing out over there. Fun issue, fun series. Excited to see where it goes from here.

On Earth-41, Captain Carrot faces the Nimrod Squad, which is an Image Comics-type parody of the Justice League but Carrot is saved from a battle by Spore, which seems to be Spawn crossed with Swamp Thing. Spore mentions Dino-cop, who is a Savage Dragon parody that we met prior.
Kalibak and Grail confront The Batwoman Who Laughs amidst the wreckage of the tower crash from last issue and TBWL uses a Boom Tube to teleport away. Thunderer and Mary Marvel find Dino-cop under some debris and Thunderer vows to find Orion and Aquawoman in order to find a way off the planet.
On Earth-31, Avery is on a pirate ship at sea and forced to walk the plank by a skeletal pirate captain Blackbeard, but is saved by Donna of Troy and her Amazons from an airship. Avery uses her speed and takes out the whole crew. The chest Blackbeard was holding contains comic books oddly enough.
On Earth-33, President Superman and Doctor Multiverse realize that they are on an earth that restricts their powers because of a "fictive membrane" surrounding the planet that only allows ideas to get through. They proceed to create their own comic with the help of a DC editor named Ulrich Saxman.
On Earth-26, Thomas Wayne Batman punches out animal villain Feline Faust aiding the Amazing Zoo Crew of super cartoon animal heroes who offer him membership right before he is rescued by Avery.
84 days into their time on Earth-33, Doctor Multiverse is not too happy that Darkseid needs to win in the comic book she is creating with President Superman in order to ramp up the drama and excitement level according to editor Ulrich Saxman . Avery is able to barely break the barrier along with Batman in tow but convinces Doctor Multiverse to try and use her powers to escape the planet. Saxman reveals himself to be Darkseid in disguise and that salvation can only be gotten with his aid as the group joins hands.
On Earth-41, Spore monstrous villain The Annihilator is attacking the Nimrod Squad with the help of the Wildc.a.t.s, Wetworks, Cyborg Corps and Point break teams as the heroes and Darkseid from Earh-33 pop into the fray. Together they take down the threat of Annihilator as the crack in the multiverse is supposedly closed. Darkseid explains that it was just contained and in order to move ahead they have to let Darkseid win just like the comic book story went according to Doctor Multiverse.
Dino-cop, Mary Marvel, and Thunderer locate Orion and Aquawoman only to learn that the Oblivion Machine the Gentry created is now the actual planet they are on which is Earth-7 as the Great Darkness Demon known as Empty Hand from the Omniverse looms above them with his dark army.
Just a wild ride from Williams who jumps from hero to hero and planet to planet in this middle chapter of the series where it looks like all hope is lost for the multiverse.

This is a great book with many callbacks to crises past and there have been many in the last 37 years since the original. So many Earths worthy of exploring. I’d take a mini of Pirate Amazon’s led by Donna Troy over 30 Batman books a month any day! This is so much better than the dreadful Infinite Frontier that preceded it. That should have been this.

Since this event/series began in Infinite Frontier #0, continued in the Infinite Frontier #1-6 series and now still continues even more in Justice League Incarnate #1-5 ... well I've been all in and its a series I look forward to most each month as this is currently ongoing.
I also recommend Crush & Lobo, One-Star Squadron, Blue and Gold, Superman Son of Kal-El among others.
JL Incarnate #3 gets extremely meta in this issue with the heroes actually creating the future as they work with a DC editor to produce their own DC Heroes series. Sounds crazy right? But it manages to pull it all off and make me eager for next months issue!

I love #3 (and 1 and 2 also).lots of surprises..story keeps getting better as I go...story does jump around alot and has alot of characters,but overall it's very entertaining(so far)...might be easier for some readers to wait and read all 5 issues at once....#longlivedarkseid

The meta stuff with Earth 33 is really fun. Was hoping for a Superboy Prime cameo though.
