*Academy for Reapers is an academy romance and the first in the Academy for Reaper series. This series is NOT RH. It’s recommended for 16+ due to language, mature themes, and smexy situations. Ends on a cliffhanger.
M Guida has always loved fantasy and romance, especially dragons. Growing up, she devoured fantasy books and all kinds of young adult books. And then she found romance and a whole new world opened up to her.
Now as an adult, she fell in love with academy romance and has blended all of her past loves into one compelling series. Dragons, vampires, elves, demons, and shifters all attend Legacy Academy.
When she's not writing, she lives in the colorful Rocky Mountains with her fur baby, Raven, and enjoys taking her for walks.

Julie and Rusty are still learning to be strong Reapers. This book has some errors, but can be easily overlooked. Samantha doesn't seem as bad as she was in the First year. Something just seems to be missing.
I loved this! I love that Julie and Rusty are kinda starting to get along but I hate how he’s touch and go with her. I love how protective he is of her and how he’s there for her through each thing she goes through. I hate that Michael kept accusing him of stealing and how he was framed. I love that Julie makes an effort to prove Michael wrong. I love how she has her own little team now to help her fight off the demons.
This book starts with Rusty and Julie making their way back from Hell, where the Archangel Michael had banished them, to find they have missed a good part of the second year at Soul Academy, the Academy for Reapers and Archangel Michael still isn’t happy to believe that Rusty hadn’t stolen from the academy, even if they managed to get back his own artifact, his golden scythe, back from Hell itself. Rusty has been given until the Equinox to prove his innocence or face the consequences. Only problem is that Rusty doesn’t like to need anybody and doesn’t want help from anyone. He just wants to be able to rescue his friend Armond, who is still on earth and in danger. Julie is worried enough about her own father, after having a vision of him in danger, but neither of them can return to earth until they finish their third year at the academy and qualify fully as reapers. He wants to be alone or with only his group of other Untouchables. But Archangel Raphael ha told them they will need a team to help prove his innocence in time, or Michael will do as he says and make sure Rusty is sent to Hell and will never be able to get back out again, unlike this time. Julie has seen a dark figure around, each time something goes missing, but someone is clearly trying to frame Rusty as the next item to go missing ends up found under his bed! Michael won’t believe in his innocence or anyone else’s word to support him. As a more serious demon threat takes place, when the academy is supposed to be safely secured against demon incursions, the second year students are formed into teams and shown how to protect themselves and to go n the offensive with spells and the power of their combined scythes in action. Rusty again refuses to participate and their team fails to succeed as well as the other two teams. Julie continues to have nightmares about the demon Julian, who wants her for some particular reason and leaves his mark on her after every visit! She needs to find better ways to protect herself and the others from his attacks and starts to research spells and try to find out how to defeat or kill a demon. Just as Julie figures, their time runs out and this short story ends on a very sudden note, leaving you sitting on a knifes edge and now having to wait for the next book to come along. I wish the book had been a lot longer and gone into the relationships between all the various students a bit more, not just Julie and Rusty, but the Untouchables, Anne her roommate, Samantha who hates her guts, and others such as the Headmaster and the archangels themselves. Not quite enough meat on the bones of this story and left me wanting. It is short and so quick and easy to read, with some good action at times, but just not enough substance. It would be better in a longer book, with more of their second year detailed and what they all went through. Time was different for the two of them in Hell and so they came back well into the second year and we missed everything that the others did, as if they don’t matter at all. Still keeps me wanting to know more, having read the other series and knowing how Rusty got to become a reaper in the first place. I received and ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
I loved it! It was so enticing that I couldn’t put it down, this book grabbed my interest from the very first page. I had to know what happened next. The story is well written with a very good storyline. Grab this new academy romance filled with reapers, angels, and demons who are batting for your soul. Welcome to the Academy for Reapers. This series is not a reverse harem. It’s recommended for 16+ due to language, mature themes, and smexy situations. This story is about Raven’s best friend Julie. Julie has fought her way out of hell, but that’s not her hardest task, that’s winning the heart of a stubborn reaper named Rusty. He doesn't need anybody, he doesn't want anybody, and he wants to be left alone. He's a wounded hero on the path of destruction. He's told me to get lost, but I'm not going anywhere. Archangel Micheal has accused him of serious crimes at Soul Academy and has set a bounty on his head. Julie is the only one who can heal Rusty’s broken heart, but she needs a team to save him from his enemies. The lines have been drawn, so bring it on. She’s ready to fight for her mate. Come rally behind her in helping her dark and broody reaper realize he's worthy of love. So with all that and more this story pulls you in and holds you tight. I love the ending. I highly recommend to everyone.
It’s year two for the reapers and things are getting dangerous for Julie, Rusty and their friends. The Archangel Michael’s positive Rusty is behind the threats and their year two test is to prove his innocence. They have a team, they’ve successfully bonded and fought demons but Rusty is still being framed. Something is very wrong at the school and the team it seems is needed to find what that problem is. Great read but man oh man that cliffhanger. I enjoyed the team building in this installment. Loved the new spells and abilities they are learning. I’m suspicious of the roomie Anne she seems to always be right there when something bad happens to Julie. Could be wrong but you never know. This is a fun series and I am looking forward to the next book!

WE have suspence and more. Rusty and Julie have made it back from hell, but Archangel Michael wants Rusty back there. He thinks he stoled an item. He wants to send him back. Rusty does not like help. He is cold and hot with Julie, what will she do. She has feelings for him and thinks he has feelings for her. Can she figure out away to save Rusty? Will he ever accept her and others help to save him? How can they prove his innocence? What is really going on with Rusty? Why does the the demon Julian want her? Can she protect herself? Will she and Rusty ever be able to find Rusty's friend and protect her dad? Oh wait we have to wait to find out some more mystery?

This book starts right after the last book ended with Julie and Rusty getting out of hell, except Michael is determined to pin the thefts on Rusty.
This time the are fighting against the demon's who are now inhabiting their dreams. The are against the clock to not only clear Rusty of the thefts but for Julie not to get taken by the demon who wants her.
This is definitely a young adult book.... extremely slow burn since all Rusty and Julie have done is Kiss. And Rusty must be bi-polar with his serious mood swings and his attitude gets a bit annoying. Also his constant need to find and protect Armond is a little crazy.
The story was ok, but it felt a bit too short. It is a novella but nothing really happens. It all seems like set up for the next book. Also, there were some consistency issues. Either book 2 starts immediately after book 1 but they have a mostly different conversation. Or they have the same sort of conversation with two people who rarely appear, twice. Not to mention the character inconsistencies. They were all over the place. And yet, I kind of want to know what happens next. So it did draw me into the story.

Wow this book is full of action and pulls you into the book. This book is not a standalone and you need to read the first book in the series to get the full story. This series follows one of the characters from her Legacy Academy Series. Reading these will give you a better insight into the world and give you the full picture of what they are fighting. These books are well worth the read as the writer grabs your attention and doesn't let it go until the end. This book does finish on a cliffhanger so I am anxiously waiting for the next book. I received an ARC for an honest review.
Starting out with a bang. When things start coming up missing, it's Rusty who's blamed. How can Rusty and Julie prove he's not the culprit when they have to keep fighting a demon? Passing year one was a breeze compared to the trials of year two. They not only have to learn to work together and as Team Gargoyle, but now they also have to prove to Michael that Rusty isn't the culprit. But their time frame is too fluent, time doesn't work like normal. So dig in and help them figure this out. I'm off to year three.
Julie, Rusty and the rest of the gang are back and so is the danger. Julie and Rusty have made it back from hell but that is not the end of their problems. Demons are a danger again and this time the students get to learn a few cool reaper tricks. But of course things go wrong a few times. Just a quick fun read that made me want to slap Rusty a few times but fun. Enjoyed the story quick light story.
Being that this is the second book in this series, I’m really loving the storyline, and the character evolutions are great. The only downfall I felt was the emotional *whiplash* I got dealing with Rusty’s emotions during the first half of the book. One sentence he’s warm and fuzzy, the next he’s cold and aloof. Luckily it eventually evens out, but I it did made it pretty hard to read for a while.
I couldn't finish this book. I would have thought that by this book, the editing would have been better. Incomplete sentences and missed words just did me in. The author also seems to have a thing for stomachs as they mention knots, dropping and all kinds of other phases to go along with a nervous stomach. I have read several books in this universe they have created and I finally reached my limit of the horrible editing.
This was a great addition to the series thanks to the great collaborative work of M Guida and Piper Fox. The did a great job of making the story line and character work almost seamless which made for a quick, fun read.

I am kind of up in the air about this series. The abrupt endings keep me reading because I want to know what’ll happens however there seems to be something missing for me. Rusty is is same bipolar self and certainly isn’t doing anything to help himself.
I’m loving this series and love how quickly it gets into the story I really enjoy reading about Rusty as he was one of my favourites in Ebony’s Legacy I was so shattered when he died. I love his character. I also really like the fact that these books aren’t to long. I highly recommend this series!
Academy for Reapers Year Two I am loving it! Love ❤ Rusty and Julie...This is so well written and I am loving the characters! I can not wait to start book 3 since the ending / cliffhanger left me with wtf is gonna happen next. Definitely recommend this book 📕 and series 📚!!
I really enjoyed this book, it’s well written with lots of detail and twists. I’m enjoying that ‘unknown’ element to the story of who the darkness/thief is. Also the twists and bonding between characters is great. Overall a great read.
This book starts where the last one left off. Rusty and Julie now make their way back from Hell back to the academy where Michael will now try to pin the theift on Rusty. I want to read the next book. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Great read. Enjoyed reading about Julie and Rusty. Disappointed in how short the books are they should all be combined into one book. Then you have to wait for a month to get the last book and they end unfinished.
I'm loving this series! Rusty's attire runs hot and cold making Julie have whip flash! They must work together or Rusty is going to be sent to Hell and a demon has unrequited love for Julie. A well written paranormal story with great characters.
Entertaining and a quick read, it does have some grammatical and spelling errors and could use a proof reader. Time acts weird throughout all of these books and there are some plot holes but did I enjoy this corny academy romance? Yes I did.
Had some editing errors. I do love this series. I wish it wasn't so rushed. I want more of the back story and more relationship between Julie and Rusty.
