The Picos de Europa, in northern Spain, are one of Europe's last mountain wilderness areas. This guide contains a wealth of information about the dazzling array of plant and animal life you expect to see when exploring the range by car or on foot. Teresa Farino is an all-round naturalist and Spanish correspondent for BBC Wildlife. This guide walks for all ages and abilities; topographical walking maps; car touring itineraries and fold-out touring map; short strolls to idyllic picnic spots; public transport timetables; update service for the latest information.
Very handy book. I haven't followed a whole walk from this book, but they seem very well described and Farino obviously has a real love for the Picos de Europa. The map at the back could be clearer, with better links ot the detailed walks.
