270 books2,340 followersI love books. Not just a little bit, but a lot. Books were my best friends when I was growing up. Books didn’t care if I was new to a town or to a class. They were always there, my trustiest of companions. Until they turned on me and said I had to write them.
I can tell you that my own personal happily ever after included writing books. I’ve always said that an HEA is a work in progress. It’s true in my marriage, my friendships, and in my career. I am constantly nurturing my muse as we dive into new tales, new tropes, new characters and more.
After seventeen years back in Texas, we relocated to the Pacific Northwest in search of seasons, new experiences, and new geography. I can’t wait to discover what life (and my muse) have in store for me.
Maybe writing was always my destiny and romance my fate. After all, my grandmother wasn’t a fan of picture books and used to read me her Harlequin Romance novels.
Friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, friends to enemies to lovers, you name it, I love them and love to write them. I started with Earth Witches Aren’t Easy, the first in the Chance Monroe trilogy, but my characters and I have traveled a long way since I created that urban fantasy world.
One of the series I hear my readers recommend the most is the Untouchable series followed in quick succession by the Vandals, and that just delights me. No lie, whenever one of my readers brings up my wolves, I do a little a fist pump.

Mishaps at the circus. The fact that the author is writing about each of the team members is a definite plus for me. More books for me to read in this universe. The addition of Hondo was great for his role. Love has a lot of healing power in this series. We all deserve our happily ever after.

Action-packed romance.
This book has it all, action, romance, hawt ex special ops guys, a gutsy gorgeous ex CIA/high wire circus performer, and a smart loyal dog.
I really enjoyed this book. The only downside is it's length. I wish it was longer. I hated seeing "the end" But I'm sure I'll see more of Brick and Wanda in future books.
I recommend this book to anyone who loves special ops/ protectors romance or action adventure romance.

Wrangling Wanda is a sweet and sensuous read. I fell for Brick and Hondo right along with Wanda. I liked the slow burn. I loved that Wanda was so strong in her own right. I read this story in one sitting and didn’t want to let the characters go.

I so loved Wanda ,Brick and Hondo and despite the fact i absolutely find Clowns dead down scary i really enjoyed the fact that the whole book was set up in a circus.
Witty,sassy and very strong head Wanda is the perfect much for Brick.
Short story with an intresting plot and well developed characters this story is a great addition to the series.
I enjoy reading this books and in this world.

Once again Heather takes us on a journey of suspense and love with plenty of chuckles as well.
I couldn't help but giggle at the name Clayton 'Brick' Wall, such are the nicknames given by buddies in the military. However my true love in this one is his bomb sniffing dog Hondo. Hondo and Brick were partners in the military and Brick was fortunate to be able to adopt him as they both left it under medical discharge.
As a child I always loved the aerial performers at the circus, so as we learn about Wanda and she takes to the high wire I can visualize every move she makes. Having returned from years in Europe, she is in charge of this tour of the Merry Circus. A small traveling extension of her family's main event in Vegas.
From suspicious activities, to geeky moments, this book will have you turning the pages. I didn't see it coming and the true hero of this book is Hondo. I love Military and Service dogs so very much!
This book melds characters from Brotherhood Protectors, and of others from Heather's Special Forces: Operation Alpha books. Links are below, if you want to meet them, including the couple Brick is housesitting for.
I can't wait for Heather's next book in this Kindle World.

Wanda and Brick and Hondo
This book seemed like an abbreviated version of the quality of book I've come to expect from this author. It is sparse on background and the relationship felt rushed, in part because of the lack of event details. Spoiler alert: For example, Brick spent three nights on Wanda's office sofa while guarding her. Which is mentioned in passing. It gives very little information about the dynamics between them. Then the climax...and an unnecessary life threatening wound. This KU library selection gets three stars.

This is a little different than the other books as far as settings. This is a female CIA agent retired to help her grandfather with the circus, which she used to perform in as a little girl. Brick has his own demons and he has his bomb sniffing dog Hondo with him. They and some others are hired to protect her, cause someone is trying to kill her. Not a bad book.

The Circus was never so Action Packed
Wow! From start to finish this is action at it's best. A circus as they were with the midway and tents. Who's sabotaging and is it the circus or is it a person? Very memorable characters, especially Hondo. Great storyline. Fairly clean. Loved it.

Good story.
This was a well written quick read. I really enjoyed the characters and the storyline. These books are a perfect fit into this Kindle World. The story is complete yet there is a character thread that runs thru two different Kindle Worlds. Her books are well done so that going back and re-reading them is not a chore but a joy!

Good read
Wanda met Brick when she discovered that someone was try to kill her. Hank had brought several of his men to keep an eye on her, but Brick and his dog Hondo got the job of sticking to her. Hondo took an instant liking to her which was unusual. Now if they can just figure out who the killer is.

Circus backdrop?
Good character development, and excellent relationship build. Would like prior characters lived more intertwined, both women and men. Wanda was strong character but her CIA background wasn't really believable.

Brick and Wanda
Brick's a retired EOD SEAL and Wanda a retired CIA asset. They make a good couple and Hondo is a scene stealer. The villian in this book doesn't make sense as ND detracted from the story. Sexy time arrives at the end but this is a quick read.

Unique and sexy, with a mystery that kept me guessing!
I really like that this couple met when the Hero was hired (kinda lol) to protect her. I also loved that we got to see so many of the characters from previous stories. Lastly... a CIRCUS! How creative!

This was a nice read. It was sweet to see Brick and Hondo get their HEA. It is always great when a person is healed.

Entertaining
This story has a unique setting in a small circus. The characters are interesting, strong people, and the story has lots of suspense. It's a fast, enjoyable read.

Pilar is on the run from her family. She is involved in an accident. Cannon had just gotten this new truck now it was in an accident. Cannon gets her out of the car and next thing he knows they are being shot at.
After getting attacked at a hotel, Cannon calls Tex. He helps them along the way to get to the safe house. Arizona has agreed to be her lawyer. Now to get the evidence into the right hands.
