Even a monster has a story to tell. This one is his. Adam, Zachariah and Katherine were thick as thieves from childhood and believed nothing could break their bond of friendship. Envy may have invited the darkness, but madness followed in its wake.
A five-hundred-year grudge between brothers comes to a fevered pitch on the pages of the novel Red Night by RK Close. What really happened between two fearsome vampires long ago may surprise you. There are always two sides to every tale. And sometime appearances are not what they seem.
Are monsters born? Or are they created?

Best-selling author RK Close blends urban fantasy and paranormal romantic suspense into fast-paced, hard-to-put-down, supernatural adventures that keep fans coming back for more.
An outdoor enthusiast, nomadic traveler, wife, mother, and lover of all things curry, RK spends her spare time with her head in a book, behind a camera or walking her three high-maintenance dogs. Her book addiction began in high school and bloomed into a writing career later in life.
Yes, this a prequel. But, please read this after books 1-3!
There are some profound plot twists that will be unnoticeable if you are unaware of the rest of the story. In fact, it would only seem to be a sad, depressing story, nothing more. Reading it as book 4, it's still a true Shakespearian tragedy for them all: Katherine, Zachariah, and Adam. But knowing the truth of those early days changes everything.
The writing is fluid and the words are well-chosen. The characters and the circumstances carry you along without any awkward lapses, and they are interesting, fascinating, sexy, fun, spontaneous, stunning, steamy, and entertaining.

Enjoyed this entire series! Definitely, YA all fade to black. But I kinda needed that. Sometimes you just need to enjoy the story itself. And I thoroughly did! Found out about Adam and his enemy that maybe isn't!
