Tyler E.C. Burnworth is an Air Force veteran who lives in the shadow of Area 51, a diamond in the desert wastes called Las Vegas. Husband to Lydia, his superhuman wife, and father to two rambunctious little ruffians whose public behavior determines whether they are claimed or not. Dachshunds have been observed sunbathing on his front porch. The writing happens at that magic time of late night/early morning, a time most know as "sleep."

Each of his books is written the old-fashioned way: completely without the use of A.I. generated content.

A young boy survives the destruction of his home planet but loses his mother, ending up on a backwater planet with his father and older brother. Redshift is the fast-paced, military sci-fi tale of his drive for revenge, coming of age, and beginning of life in the Human Marine Corps.

Burnworth has crafted a fast-paced, tight novel that takes you deep into the life of a boy yearning for the military, his life as a new recruit, and the fog of war. A worthwhile addition to the genre, Redshift triggered thoughts of Starship Troopers, Heartbreak Ridge, Ender's Game, and even The Forever War in me as I read it.

A first of a planned trilogy, Redshift is recommended reading and, for readers of military sci-fi, a must read series.
