She is a single mom with a secret. A secret that means she needs to leave town. Now. He is a dragon shifter determined to make her stay. After all, she is his mate. Can he convince her to stay? If not, he’s going with her and he’s not taking no for an answer.
Matheus never saw himself as a member of the dragon guard. Uniforms were never his thing. But when his father asks him to take on the job of helping police the dragons that visit Wishing Moon Bay, he can’t refuse. Not if it means his people will finally be free to leave their homeland and potentially find their mates. If only he could be so lucky. However, when his luck does change it comes with one problem. His mate is about to leave Wishing Moon Bay. For good. Where does his duty lie now? With his mate or with his people? There is no choice. His loyalty will always be to his mate and the child she’s raised as her own.
Ellen has been living in Wishing Moon Bay on borrowed time. When her sister died, Ellen took on the role of mom to Beau, her nephew. She also learned a secret. One she has kept to herself for years. But now the dragons are coming and the secret she holds puts her nephew in danger. Ellen has no choice but to leave town. When Matheus unexpectedly arrives on her doorstep, he turns her world upside down. Perhaps she won’t need to run after all.
However, the forces that threatened Beau are moving. Only it’s not just Beau that is in danger.
Harmony Raines loves to write romance filled with magic and love. Her men are usually not so alpha, but they know how to treat their fated mates, or alien lovers well.

Just my way of saying thank you for giving my books a try.
Matheus is a new Dragon Guard in Wishing Moon Bay. His father is the new leader of the Dragon council on Cairnnor and he wants to help make the switch go easier for all dragons. But then he meets his mate Ellen and she is planning to leave Wishing Moon Bay forever. Can he convince her to stay? Can he keep her and her nephew safe from a danger that is lurking?
The pace is fast and the tone is uncertain yet hopeful with a character oriented storyline that has some action and some steamy scenes. The characters are vivid and engaging. This is one of a few series set in Wishing Moon Bay. I think you should at least read The Bond of Brothers in order before you read this series in order. That will introduce you to all the ins and outs of this new world. It is fascinating and different from the shifter worlds created by other authors. Then if you want you can read other books by Harmony Raines. You are in for a treat. I am always anxiously awaiting the arrival of the next book by Harmony Raines! Enjoy!

Beau gets family and grandparents and dragon rides
Ellen and Beau are family. She is trying to protect him from the dragons that may be coming to wishing moon bay. She thinks she has to move to do this until she meets her mate. That changes everything. Turns out Beau is not a dragon shifter. Will we ever find out who is the father of beau? Its a really cute story with mystery and danger and adventures. Will the dragons be free to explore from their island or will the plot to stop that succeed? The one thing missing was that no one wished in this story. Need to have wishes in wishing moon bay books. A good story as usual.
Good continuation of the background story. We met Matheus in an earlier story and I liked him then. He is now one of the protection liaison guards assigned to Wishing Moon Bay. When he is asked to do a mundane task assigned to a wedding, he is not happy but he changes his mind once he meets his mate. Ellan and her nephew Beau are packing to leave WMB due to misinformation provided by her now dead sister. I enjoyed this story and how everything plays out with that nasty Sullian and who Beau’s father turns out to be was pleasant surprise. Read through Kindle Unlimited but I recommend reading the previous books to understand this world and what happens.
In a pocket dimension were witches and shifters exist and the mean ruler has been sent to jail now a new villain has started trouble. Even as the dragon shifters are finally being set free from isolation, some among them want to keep them isolated. Now as the villain is under suspicion finding proof is most important. Good plot, entertaining characters, and a few twists that keep you guessing who are the accomplices. Good Read.
I found the story wonderful and was able to identify with characters that I had previously read about. I had one complaint, whoever did the proof reading missed a lot of things. Names and pronouns of characters were not accurate. I had to slow down and reread to make sure I was still reading the right line. It is in a lot of the books by this author. I will still continue to read them , just wanted to point out to someone who could check on it
IF We could build a robot/ android thingy, half as wonderful as as any of Harmony Raines people, women could rule the world. And we would truly ENJOY doing more brainy work than the next 5-10 engineers. How? Multitasking! And knowing he was right with you, at work and at “play”.
The Dragon Guards Duty (Dragon Protectors of Wishing Moon Bag Book 2) by Harmony Raines. Mateus is a Dragon Guard sent to guard Wishing Moon Bay. Ellen is mother to her dead sisters boy. They are mates. They also seems to be the means to end the threat that hangs over the Dragon island.
Matheau and Ellen are mates who meet and have to save both their works from treachery. They work together to take care of her nephew beau. They risk life and limb as well as love to defeat their enemy. I love the continuation of the wishing moon bay stories and characters.
This is the second book in the series for peeps17 and above for sexual content Everyone is wary in this read: someone is trying to stop dragons from being free. Free to move off the isle of dragons and to pursue a love life with their one true mates. Filled with action, mystery, suspense, emotional thrills to be sure as war may beging. Awesome!
This series continues it took me a while to remember who was who. (Read many books since these) I thought they made a sweet couple and glad it was not dragged out about not getting together.I felt sad for the captain but it was sweet as a family of two got all bigger. Beau is the luckiest kid trying around on dragons. Name mistakes as always with this author
I want to apologize to the author for not leaving a review of the first book. They were both a fun and exciting world to get lost in and imagine flying on the back of a dragon 👍💜
The Dragon Guard's Duty: A Wishing Moon Bay Romance
Another book filled with excitement and romance as well as a lot of action. Change is always a risk. The risk of leaving your comfort zone as well as opening up new beginnings.
This book is amazing from land, to sea ,to mountains,Sandy beaches, family, friends, and lots of magic, love, feeling , read the book, and you can be in a dream of magic your self
I thought this story was a little light at first. But as always Harmony brought it all together with a romantic happy ending for all the characters. Well done!
Another great book from Harmony Raines, which I really enjoyed. I’m glad that Matheus found his mate as he deserves it. I love how much Ellen was willing to do to protect her nephew Beau who she’s raised since his mother’s death when he was only 4 years old. Her sister told her that he’s a dragon shifter and to protect him so now that dragon’s are coming to Wishing Moon Bay from Cairnnor they were about to leave and go to the the world beyond to protect Beau, especially after her sister come back home from Cairnnor all batted, bruised and claw marks on her back but she didn’t tell Ellen what happened.
Matheus was asked by his father Lorelis to go to Wishing Moon Bay as part of the dragon guard to help police the dragons that are going to visit Wishing Moon Bay. He can’t refuse the request, as it may mean that their people will finally be free to leave Cairnnor and potentially find their mates. Matheus didn’t expect to find his mate while doing a favour for Luna’s mum Saffron and Chief Armstrong as he couldn’t sense her but little did he know that Ellen was in the world beyond sorting out for her and Beau’s move.
I liked Ellen and Beau’s friendship with Captain Rowan whose a Panjaran. He collects sea glass for her during his travels that she uses for her business. He’s never asked for anything in return as he’s just a genuinely nice guy. I’m glad that Matheus was able to tell Ellen that Beau isn’t even a dragon shifter so she could finally relax a bit that Beau’s father wasn’t going to show up and take him plus she knew that because Matheus and her are mates that he’d protect both of them with his life.
I’m hoping that Gideon will find his mate soon as he like Egan and Matheus is helping police the dragons that visit Wishing Moon Bay. I liked meeting Cayde and Joron from Cairnnor and I’m hoping that they’ll eventually get their own stories as well, as they seem to have had a hard life after they were exiled to the world beyond while the tyrannical dragon lord Argothorn was in power. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.
