In an age of gunslingers and forgotten towns, the Army of the Light rules with a searing, bright fist. Sep didn’t choose to be a shader—to move unseen through the shadows—but when the Light came for him, he fought back. On the run, he befriends a family of mercenaries and uncovers a legend of fatal Angels that just might hold the key to who he is and how to save his sister. If he’s going to survive, he’ll have to make a choice: run, fight, or give into the growing darkness inside.

I am a notoriously bad at starting books and never finishing them - I would probably be ashamed to share the total number of books I have only partially read - but I can happily say that this book is not one of them. I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish and never once found myself tempted to set it aside unfinished.
I love this book! Such a unique story - I've never heard of a "western" quite like this one! The characters feel like your real friends, and the fantastical elements make the western setting take on an awesome and unexpected twist. Totally recommend for those who love a little action and intrigue, but also want characters that you can root for along the way. (Holiday is my spirit animal!)
