I, Jake Carver, screwed up royally. Stealing a purse then pretending to find it to get attention from a girl was definitely not my brightest idea. The only positive comes in the form of kissing a stranger before she runs away and I never see her again.
I, Rory Gallagher, am in a rut. Not even a trip to the most amazing comic shop in the whole world seems to bring me out of it. The only bright spot in my unsatisfying life is the random kiss I shared with a stranger at one of his most embarrassing moments.
Will another meeting months later be a Christmas miracle, or will they be walking in a winter wonderland alone?
So…Jake’s not an actual creep, just bad choice in trying to win a girl’s attention…poor bugger, but was fate as Rory appeared💛 and finding people who were way more welcoming to him😊… never did get to find out what she gave him for Christmas?🎁 As usual; loved the geeked-out gals, nerdy references, and dorky outfits!! ❄️❄️🩵❄️❄️

This book centers around Jake. He is my least favorite character, but i was happy enough to get a new book and I'm glad we did. This is a nice little redemption story for him and we get to meet a whole new cast of characters that will hopefully lead to a spin-off series. The only downside is that i feel the stories are too short (especially Jake and Ames) & so much seems to happen in between the books, that i wish we had more & got to delve a little deeper into the characters and their storylines. I do love that we get updates in how everyone is doing with each book though
This is a real quick read that buttons up the Words for Nerds series. Jake never really belonged with the people at Words for Nerds, even when he really tried. It just goes to show that when you find your person everything will fall in place.
