Through My Eyes: Exploring the World While Being Asian
An ardent enthusiast of diverse cultures and thrilling escapades, Vicky Zhou made a choice during her formative years to embark on a global odyssey. Upon learning about the term minor feelings , a radicalized consciousness experienced by many Asian Americans, coined by Kathy Park Hong, Vicky found herself compelled to undertake an in-depth exploration of this phenomenon in the Canadian context. As opposed to suppressing those feelings through self-doubt, she chose to express them by writing, normalize them by storytelling, and amplify them by fostering solidarity with her community and beyond.

An in-depth and focused look at how Asian immigrants are perceived, especially during the pandemic, and how we as a society can better understand the blindspots we might have. A fascinating and intelligent read.
